Overview
These country-style apartments are located in Torrejón el Rubio, just outside Extremadura’s Monfragüe National Park. There is an outdoor pool, and the air-conditioned apartments feature free Wi-Fi and a TV. The apartments at Apartamentos Rurales La Cañada have tiled floors and colourful, rustic décor. Each one has a kitchenette with a hob, microwave and coffee-maker, plus access to a shared patio. Staff at the 24-hour reception can provide information about Extremadura. Monfragüe National Park is popular for hiking, and you can go canoeing in the nearby River Tajo. The property can also organise guided astronomy routes. You can drive to Trujillo in around 30 minutes. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cáceres Old Town is under an hour’s drive away.

“Home away from home while you explore Monfrague Nature park”
Apartment well appointed to do self- catering. Loved the AC and returning to a cool and comfortable home away from home after exploring Monfrague Nature reserve. Swam in pool briefly to hasten cooling down on return in evening. Staff welcoming and helpful with directions and suggestions. Highly recommend as a good base to explore nature reserve.

In Plus we had privat service in a nearby shop to provide us with food for the time of our stay. That was before the shop officialy opend at 5pm.

Everyone was very friendly and the breakfast offered was absolutely delicious. The appartment was nice, had everything we needed and is located perfectly for day trips (e.g. to Monfrague National Park or Cáceres).
