Overview
Overlooking the picturesque Massaciuccoli Lake, Albergo Butterfly is set in a tranquil pedestrian area. It features a panoramic sun terrace, restaurant and free parking. Free WiFi is available throughout. Each air-conditioned suite has a LED TV, safe and private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. One of them offers a spa bath and views over the lake. A sweet breakfast is served in the room every morning at the Butterfly. It includes espresso coffee and/or cappuccino or tea, together with fresh pastries and croissants. The restaurant specialises in typical Tuscan and Italian dishes. The hotel is set in the same neighbourhood as the former residence of Giacomo Puccini, just 100 metres from the theatre. Other activities available nearby include the sailing club port and the dock, from which you can enjoy trips over the lake. The seaside is 2 km away, and shuttle buses to Viareggio leave from 200 metres away. Pisa and Lucca are a 25-minute drive away.

“Excelente 3 night stay”
Lovely small hotel right on the lake , staff were very friendly, room was very quirky and clean , nice terrace with Great Lake views (room 101) we ate in the restaurant on the first night, serving staff were very polite and informative of menu options. Several car parking spaces which was very nice. Just across the way was the Puccini home/ museum and of course the open air theatre. A trip to Pisa is well worth it.

“Exceptional hotel in a delightful location”
What a unique and charming hotel, the staff were very friendly and welcoming but thoroughly professional, breakfast was excellent including a clever offer of sweet or savoury (we both had savoury - delicious!). Our very well-kept room was delightful with original decor, a private terrace overlooking the beautiful lake and an amazing double spa bath tucked away under the bed - great fun and very therapeutic after the night-time drive from the Mediterranean port. The location was super too, we're only sad we missed an operatic performance at the near-by theatre during the Puccini celebrations; the tranquil and delicious surroundings made up for that to some extent. We certainly plan to rectify that disappointment in the near future.

“2 nights stay for opera”
Ideal location for the opera. About 25 minutes walk from train station but there is a bus most of the way. The staff were very nice. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning made it easy to sleep. Very quiet. Nice bar with good price drinks. Jacuzzi under bed was unusual
