“Cosy retro beach cottage”

Host was great, good communicator, information re lockbox and keys was easy. Host assisted in travel operator confusion which as a great relief. Bed is super comfy, wood burning fire cosy, pet friendly with contained backyard, retro cottage with kitchen supplies like oil, salt and pepper, really tranquil location with short walk to beach, ocean walking track and the village of Jan Juc which has a cafe, pub and a couple of restaurants, pick up grocery supplies on your way from Torquay.

such a cute 70s unit, great space for a couple or family and very comfortable for any stay. lots of kitchen supplies provided, and the bed and bathroom were also comfortable and clean. short drive to the main areas of torquay and walking distance to jan juc shops and the beach. i would 100% recommend and would stay here again if im ever in the area :) thank you !!

The cabin had an authentic holiday house feel. The hosts really looked after us and we had a comfortable stay with not much to worry about.

So comfy, really felt like a home away from home. Bed was super comfy. I slept perfectly both nights. Our dog enjoyed the space as much as we did. She loved the back yard.

A special find! Cosy, clean and a calm space. Our dogs settled easy in Golden Days Shack, as did we. We loved the backyard, the walking paths in the area, the short walk to the beach (a nice spot for sunrise). The small central hub of shops was a 4min walk. A few local birds were an added treat because of the trees on the property. Ester is so friendly and easy to communicate with. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equiped and easy to use. The bathroom - as you'd want, clean and functional. Love the added detail of eco products around the home. We had a relaxing time in Jan Juc. Thanks for sharing your Golden Days Shack. Only wish we had more time off to stay a bit longer.

I loved that the location of this property was walking distance to the local shops and beach. I loved that the house was furnished with really cool mid-century furniture and decor. I also loved that it was pet friendly. It had wifi, a wood heater, and a split system.

“Dreamy 1970s beach house”

The photos do not do this place justice. It is the cutest 1970s-styled "beach shack". We absolutely adored our stay here. The beds were so comfy, and the kitchen had everything you needed, including tea and a coffee machine. Very close proximity to good coffee (at the swell cafe) and a quick walk to a dog-friendly beach. The beach, however, had strong currents and didn't have lifeguards (plenty of excellent family-friendly beaches a short drive away, though). Even though the weather wasn't ideal for the beach, we still made the most of it and had a great indoor stay. Will 100% be back here.
