We had a great time at the Skerlj Wine Estate. The host really made an effort to help us with any questions or recommendations nearby, even booked us a taxi. Thanks to her we stopped by a local prsut and wine festival nearby which was great. Apart from her great help, the estate is just amazing. The views are so nice. We loved the pool area and just taking in the view. Everything at the estate is taken care of; pool towels, sunscreen, games, mosquito spray, coffee and tea and definitely get the breakfast, it has all you can think of and the host makes the best eggs! There also is a lot to do in the area, as you can see in a little booklet in the room.

The setting amongst the vineyards was just gorgeous and the pool and sunloungers overlooking the vines were idyllic. Hostess was super welcoming and helpful.

It's a very special place. You feel truly part of the family and everything is just so natural. The owners are so nice and helpful. The pool is great, the wine is fantastic, the view and the porch are one of a kind. What makes it special that It is a type of holiday you can't compare to a regular hot or apartment. A family run wine estate, the family were so very welcoming. Well appointed rooms, with many places to sit outside & enjoy the peaceful country views.

A beautiful Estate - more or less - in the middle of nowhere. Come here to find peace, relax at the pool and - of course - drink wine. We didn't (want to) do much more, so we don't actually know if or how many activities are possible, but there's a little booklet from the owner. Two to three days by the pool are enough, but the view is amazing.

The property is a historic building dating from the 18th century and belonging to the family for 6 generations, lovingly restored by the hostess Mirjana and her family. Mirjana is a passionate, kind and enthusiastic host full of energy who works hard to keep all of her guests happy, starting with an incredible breakfast in the morning: eggs, sausages, bacon, fruit, yoghurt, salami, freshly baked croissants etc.. the rooms are clean, spacious and beautifully decorated so are the surroundings: there is the immaculate garden, the fire pit, amazing swimming pool overlooking the vineyards. The accommodation is conveniently located close to the highway, Lipica, Postojna cave, shopping in outlets in Italy, Ljubljana and the coast. The restaurant in the village serves fantastic food and wine - they serve Skerlj’s Teran which is an absolute must so is the wine degustation organised by Mirjana. We cannot recommend this hidden gem enough.

The estate is wonderfully quiet with great views across the vineyards. A dip into the pool very refreshing after a hot summer day out and about. The breakfast was also great with a lot of variety an Mirjana a very friendly host.

Very warm welcome by Miriana with some of their Teran wine which we loved! Great views from the garden, whilst sitting by the fire pit and the pool. Clean comfortable room with small kitchen annex (but breakfast is too good to be using the kitchen). Good local knowledge and recommendations for excursions and food & wine.

Everything was great & beautiful, but the special round of applause goes to the host who was truly amazing & made you feel like home from the second you check-in. Truly outstanding experience, both in terms of hospitality and wine. This is also a great starting point for your Teran wine experience in Karst. The host will tell you all about the do’s and dont’s of the region so you can enjoy your time to the fullest. If you want to just chill and relax with a view, this place has you covered as well. We couldn’t be more satisfied, it is a definite „go!” in our book.
