“One of the best values for money, located in a hidden jewel of Tokyo.”
The location is convenient. It is close to the JR Yamanote Line (train) and the Mita Line (subway). Sugamo is a very walkable neighborhood. Lots of interesting shops and temples. Sugamo is a little overlooked because it’s not famous like Shibuya or Shinjuku - but you can get to anywhere quickly from there, and it’s not super crowded or noisy. Definitely a good place to stay if you want a relaxing area at a reasonable price. Note: Check in time is late (8:00 pm) - but check out time is also late (11:00 am or noon). That worked out fine for me, since I’m usually out all day doing things (it’s Tokyo! Why would you be hanging around in a hotel room? Go out and explore!) Also, the room style is a bit dated, but that works for me too. Rooms are big and the beds are comfy and large. Also, Jacuzzi in the bathroom.
