Overview
This family-run hotel is a 5-minute walk from scenic Lake Titisee, in the Upper Black Forest nature park. It offers WiFi in public areas, an adventure climbing park, fitness studio, a bike academy and a changing programme of events. The rooms and apartments of the non-smoking Action Forest Active Hotel feature a bright, country-house design. The rooms are located in the main building, and apartments are in the annex. All rooms or apartments include a modern bathroom with bathtub or shower. Each day starts with a full buffet breakfast in the breakfast garden. Please note that in November and December , breakfast is only provided from Monday until Thursday. Guests can also relax all day and play board games in the recreational room, or else test themselves to their limits in the climbing forest. There are several restaurants within a 5-minute walk. Leisure activities near the Action Forest Active Hotel include hiking, swimming, and skiing, and a bicycle garage is also available. The World Cup ski jumping facilities are just a 10-minute drive away. Titisee Train Station is less than 1 minute away on foot. Cyclists are welcome to use the garage, workbench and washing area.

Great location! The hotel is within walking distance of some truly beautiful places, which made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. Perfect spot for a relaxing stay with everything close by.

“Basic; you get what you pay for...”
Hotel is in a great location for seeing the rest of the town. It is in walking distance to the spa we found. The staff in the morning for breakfast were lovely. Breakfast was good. There are spaces right outside for motorbikes.

Check-in is cumbersome, using a door code every time to go out. No place for the bicycles. No staff. Breakfast was included in the price but served much too late (7.30) We want to leave at 6 AM to get a few cooler hours on the bike before the temperature goes to 30+ at noon.

“Not good - difficulty accessing the building”
Check-in was very complicated but I was eventually able to get into the building. However, later on, I was not able to use my code to enter the building. A message (only in German) told me turn the door handle but the door would not open. Another client had exactly the same problem. The contact telephone number was no use to me as I can't make international calls and the telephone number wasn't registered with whatsapp. In desperation, I sent a mail marked urgent to a couple of email addresses but four days later, I still haven't received a reply. I was able to access the building through the fire escape door which never shuts properly. Obviously this is a security risk. I didn't like that staff were never around to help. On the basis of the above, I can't recommend this hotel.
