“Amazing stay!”

Amazing stay! Lovely family! Host is very friendly, responsive and helpful. He will go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. The brother was also very caring and helpful also. Food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast! Given help with travel and given recommendations for the area. Safari was amazing and the host showed me birds, bats and crocodiles in the local area! Clean and spacious room! Highly recommend!

Very well kept by the family. Such nice people who were there for our every need and went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with our stay. Set us up with a wonderful safari too for a cheap price. Would recommend !

I was looking for a homestay that is located nearby the lake as I wanted to see the bat colony and rural landscapes around Tissa. For that, the location was perfect. Very quiet area and close to nature which I loved. Also there was a terrace where you could hang out or have your food. The family was super welcoming and supportive, they even dropped me at the bus station for free and helped me with my questions and concerns. I didn’t want to do safari in Yala and they weren’t pushy about it, in contrary to what I read about other properties where you get almost forced to do a safari with them

Super homestay! The family are so nice, they let us stay for three hours extra whilst we were waiting for our taxi and offered us tea, coffee and a smoothie. We booked the safari tour with them and it was so worth it!! An added bonus was the welcome fresh coconut :)

“Perfect”

I had such a wonderful stay at this homestay. The family went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great time, had everything I needed and was comfortable. The food was good, the safari experience, which they booked for me, was amazing, and I overall felt really cared for. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to do Yala Safari.

This was a really lovely experience. They welcomed us with a cold coconut which felt very nice. The room was clean and spacious. We had a little balcony where we sat and enjoyed the inner yard of the house. The breakfast was very tasty and we even got some fruit salad from them which was also very good! Having the option to eat at your accommodation was very helpful since we were there for the safari and very tired after to search for restaurants.

The host is very nice and helpful, and prepared early breakfast for our safari takeaway at 5am! The location is perfect, super close to the lake.

The room was comfortable and clean. The owner is very nice and helped me a lot, picked me up from the bus station and helped me get to the bus stop after check-out.

I could not have found a better stay for my Safari.
 The room Is clean and spacious. The AC works well.
 I booked the Safari through Tissa Rainbow. It was very uncomplicated, and the Safari was worth the trip there.
 I was even picked up from the bus station when I arrived and got all information to get my bus (not always easy to find which to take) to go up north. When my Tuktuk didn’t come, one brother brought me to the bus station himself :)

“Good value, one night only”

It was okay, and it was cheap. The host was really good, we went on a sunrise safari leaving at4.30am and he got up and made us tea and coffee before we went and had made 2 very nice packed breakfasts to bring with us. Place was a little dirty, the bin hadn’t been emptied from the last guest, and there was a rat nested in the window (not a bother, though). All in all a nice stay and very good value.

“Lovely clean home stay run by a lovely family”

Lovely home stay with a lovely family! The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The location is very quiet and right next to the lake and the large fruit bat conservation area. To see hundreds of bats fly off at sunset was stunning. I was unfortunately ill when I was there and I felt very cared for, with the owner getting medicine for me. I very much recommend a stay!

Welcomed with a glass of fresh juice, everything about this property was spectacular. Having been in Sri Lanka for the last month- this is the BEST accommodation we have experienced. Clean, spacious, welcoming with an amazing breakfast - can’t praise the host family highly enough!!! Value for money above and beyond!!

“A great overall experience, we wish we couldn’t stayed longer!”

We had a great stay here, the family are so helpful and go above and beyond. The plants on the balcony area created a lovely, tranquil outdoor area to enjoy! The room was spacious, super clean and there was tea/coffee and a kettle which was a nice touch. We highly recommend staying here. We also booked our Yala Safari through the family and we had such a great guide, we saw bear, a leopard, elephants and more! Thank you!

I only stayed one night and it was perfect for me. Big clean room. Delicious breakfast. Really friendly and welcoming owner. You could tell that the owner is putting a lot of effort and love in it.
