We were recommended Jami River Side, and we highly recommend it as well. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located. The river view and the surrounding garden invited us every day to observe different animals — like having our own little safari. In addition, the family was incredibly warm and welcoming, and they even stopped the bus for us so we could continue our journey to Ella. Thank you very much for the wonderful time!

Great guest house, great family

Had a lovely stay here before my Yala safari. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious also. I booked my safari tour through them and had an amazing guide called Kasun, he was really knowledgable and really tried to make sure we saw as many animals as we could. Plus he has eyes like a hawk, I have no idea how he spotted so many animals!

The room is big and very clean. The family that runs it is very attentive and welcoming, they even organised lunch boxes for us before the safari (at an extra cost of course). Really good value for money. Would recommend!

The room was very nice, as in the pictures. The bed was very comfy and I had my own balcony with views to the river. The host is very kind. They can help you to book a safari to a good price and they handle a restaurant, so you can have taste lunches/dinner in the place if you don't feel like going out.

We had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend this accommodation. Our host was honestly one of the kindest people we met during our trip. We spent quite some time chatting together — probably an hour or two — and communication was very easy since she speaks good English. She made us feel very welcome and at home. She also organised a safari for us, including a very friendly driver. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t ideal, which was a bit unlucky, but of course that’s beyond anyone’s control. Despite that, everything was well arranged and we even managed to spot a leopard from a distance. We really appreciated the effort and organisation. The rooms were excellent — tidy, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. In fact, this was the cleanest accommodation we’ve had during our two-and-a-half-week trip. Overall, a fantastic experience with a truly warm and generous host. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!!

The family is very attentive and willing to help you with anything you need! We felt right at home! They have the best tour with the best driver in Yala , Kasun He showed us leopards and all the animals in the national park! Recommend 100% Thanks family ❤️

It was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was great with a lovely warm and powerful shower. The bed was comfortable. It was great to have our own balcony and also a large table which we could use. We had a safari to Yala and the guide was exceptionally good and enthusiastic about his job. He was more upset than we were , to not have seen a leopard ! His name is Kasun and he was so knowledgeable. I can highly recommend that people book a safari with the hotel. The hotel can provide meals too which we had on one night and it was delicious. The breakfasts were fantastic and we were given as many cups of tea and coffee as we wanted. Also I asked for some laundry to be done which was great.

The best place we’ve ever stayed! If you plan to visit Yala National Park, you should definitely stay at this property. The owner and her family are incredibly kind: they welcome you as if you were part of their family and are always available for transfers to and from the property, for the safari, and for anything else you may need. Nowadays, kindness is not to be taken for granted, which is why we recommend this place to everyone! P.S.: spotless room, hot water, and delicious food… could it get any better?

Very clean, good breakfast, kind family, peaceful environment. I was welcomed with a mango juice. I booked my safari through them for a reasonable price, and saw a leopard! The bat trees nearby are also worth checking out at sunset.

Great place! Perfect for Yala Safari tours. The hosts are very kind and welcoming. They prepared a delicious dinner and breakfast, which we enjoyed in a beautiful outdoor garden next to the river, surrounded by nature, while listening to stories from them. The rooms are very clean and cozy.
