We were informed by booking.com that the national park is just 2 min from property. But actually it is 40 min from the property. It is not excepatable..

A beautiful hotel with welcoming staff. The room was beautiful and the views overlooking paddy fields amazing. The breakfast safari package was a brilliant touch and we loved the swimming pool as well

The location and view from the balcony. Comfortable hotel for one or two nights (max) during a tour of Sri Lanka. The hotel made us a packed breakfast to take on the early morning Yalla Safari.

The room was nice and the view over the fields were amazing. We had a room in the first floor which was great. The dinner buffet was good value for money tough not exceptional but good in taste. Staff at the dinner was really nice!

“Lovely Stay”

The staff were really friendly and attentive and put on a lovely valentines meal. The attention to detail was exceptional.

Drink on arrival, we arrived too early but staff still accommodated us. Quiet place, slept well.. Great variety of food at breakfast, cereal, eggs, pastries and Sri Lankan curries if you wanted it. Clean swimming pool and sun beds.with a great view. I'd stay again.

Fabulous hotel, lovely location overlooking a paddy field . The hotel rooms all overlook the infinity pool then onto the paddy field. There was a lot of bird activity to watch especially at sunset . Really comfortable room . The staff were very helpful . It was easy to get a packed breakfast for our early safari . A good location for Yala and a nice place to relax too. Would recommend

Loved the location and pool that looked out over rice paddies. Loved the staff they were all so lovely. The food was good and fab breakfast too.

The hospitality at Kithala Resort was excellent, with all staff being welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Shortly after our arrival, we were invited on a complimentary bird-watching tour, which was a lovely and unexpected addition and a great way to experience the natural surroundings. The hotel was having New Year’s Eve celebrations and it was clear that the team put a lot of effort into creating an enjoyable and festive atmosphere. A special highlight was my partner being voted “Kithala Queen,” for which she was given a lovely gift basket and flowers, a thoughtful and memorable touch. We also appreciated the complimentary extras in the room, including a bottle of wine and a fruit plate. Another important plus for us was the availability of refillable filtered water, especially as many other places we stayed in Sri Lanka charged extra for drinking water.

A lovely stay from start to finish. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful. Facilities were excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing. Everything was well organised and exceeded expectations. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel.
