“Once in a lifetime, beautiful and generally wow”

A close tight knit community of hardworking people that seem to be aiming to keep paradise as paradise ☮️ Difficult to judge in a low / closed season but generally it was an amazing experience of a beautiful untouched tioman island, a great place to relax and unwind. Also this accomodation in particular is potentially a place to make great friends for most. The staff / community here are understanding and made me feel welcome despite my obvious difficulties with autism and being socially different. As a solo traveller; I was overall very pleased with how understanding they were towards me, and how forgiving towards me for my general differences towards the local culture. The experience offered me everything I needed at this point in my solo travel: peace, serenity and an opportunity to fully relax and unwind. (Something I haven't experienced for months) Whilst I don't think I matched with the culture or the atmosphere of the accomodation or the people; I am still very thankful to them for giving me a place to fully relax and soak up some of the true beauty of malaysia without judgement. For that I give it 5 stars True memories can be made here. A real slice of Paradise. Thanks to all for my stay☮️

For the prive de paid the apartment was good, the better thing about this property is the location. I believe it is the best place on the island to stay. It is really clean and beautiful. Additionally, the staff was really kind and helpful, always trying to make your stay better

“Beach, relax and surf”

Breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent. The host was really kind and helpful. We were there for the low season and she still managed to help us doing activities by gathering people and letting us know the way to the waterfall. Very available and cool, we had good time here and I really recommend this place if you want to have a quiet and peaceful time in Palau Tioman !

“Choose the better rooms”

You are literally on the beach. Choose the other rooms with AC and balcony and it’s really nice. They have a restaurant with an amazing view and good food.

“AMAZING!”

We absolutely loved our vacation at Beach Shack! We stayed there for 9 nights and we would have stayed a lot longer! We initally booked the A-Frame, but then changed to the chalet directly on the beach because it was bigger and the view was insaaaane an definitely worth the extra money. Best about Beach Shack is their staff – they were always so nice and friendly and helped us with taxi service, hiking tour etc. Also, make sure to go diving at Scuba Dive Academy which is located within the Beach Shack Area. My friend and I did the Open Water Diver Course and we can recommend it 100%! So, if your looking for a place to stay in Tioman - don’t google any further and book your beach chalet at Beach Shack!

“A stunningly beautiful place to stay”

We loved the beach shack, we stayed here for 5 days and would happily have stayed for another couple of weeks. We used their taxi man at a cost of 60 myr for 2 people from the ferry port - he was great, we stood up in the back of his truck all the way and had the best ride, it was so worth it. Our accomodation was small (the smallest A frames) - just big enough for the bed, and hot during the day but the bed was comfy with a mosquito net, so we slept well. Bathroom is simple but it all worked well. During the day there is plenty of space in the chill out dining area with settees, chairs, tables and hammocks. Staff were fabulous, so friendly and welcoming, we felt very much at home. The location is fantastic, our small hut was just behind the bigger beach huts but the view from our bed was still of the sea and stunning sunrise - simply beautiful. Right on the beach, crystal clear blue sea, fabulous for swimming and snorkelling with a reef right in front of the property. Breakfast was quite small but most delicious. Food was simple and good and priced at 11myr for a fried rice (Oct '23), 6myr for a burger - slightly more if you wanted fries. We walked to both waterfalls nearby - a good sweaty work out walk and deliciously cool water to swim in when you get there. All sorts of fabulous wildlife to be seen here. Very little rubbish on the whole island - the beaches are pristine, this is probably one of our favourite islands in the world.

“A wonderful stay....”

What can I say, the beach shack is a truly wonderful place. It's well ran, the staff are very friendly and they are extremely attentive. It has a great vibe, very chill and so peaceful although we were told it does get much busier in the high season. We stayed in a Garden View A-frame and it was exactly as described. If you like camping you'll love it, if you don't, then you probably won't. The beach front chalets offer more comfort if you'd prefer that, both are very good value for money. The inclusive breakfast was great and offered plenty of choice including eggs, porridge, pancakes, toast and roti. It also included a tea or coffee (the coffee was so good). There was also plenty of additional choice which was chargeable and the evening menu also had lots on offer. The food we had was really tasty and reasonably priced but the shack is located right in the middle of Juara village with some fantastic restaurants either side if you fancy a change. We didn't do any of the excursions on offer but they were popular and highly recommended by other guests. If your thinking of visiting Tioman we would highly recommend the Beach Shack, we wouldn't hesitate visiting again. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, keep up the good work.

“Heaven on Earth!”

Heaven on Earth! What a great location - best beach ever, we had been swimming day and night. The breakfast that is included was good and the restaurant serves excellent food lunch and dinner. And the icing on the cake is the super friendly and professional stuff - they made our stay very memorable. We stayed two weeks - and will come back for three weeks next year.

The staff is extremely helpful, they guide you really well on things to do. We strongly recommend their food and breakfast, especially. I haven't come across a more friendly set of people running a place up until now. The property has the smaller A-Frame units which we initially booked, but upgraded to the Sea View BIG A-Frame Units for the Air Con. An additional benefit of staying here, the snorkeling points are quite close. There is a massive reef right in front of the property where sting rays, baby sharks, and turtles can be spotted along with a plethora of other beautiful sea life. If you are lucky, like us, you get to see dolphins early in the morning from the restaurant/your chalet balcony.
