This place is stunning. Everything perfect, including John (the chef) and team who are lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay 10/10. John is a wonderful chef and host and prepared some of the best food we have had in Kenya!

“Amazing!”
Our time at Chui Cottage was purely magical. One previous guest said in a review that they were thinking of not posting a review, because they want to keep Chui Cottage to themselves and I really feel that. ;) This place is truly special. The houses are so cozy and comforting, you could easily spend a week here without leaving the premises, because the atmosphere is so nice. I would recommend to leave the house though and do a bush walk at Ngare Ndare Forest for example or take a trip to Lolldaiga Conservancy for a game drive. We did both and it was amazing. But our time at the cottage would have probably only been half as nice if John, Josphat and Mungai hadn’t been there. They took such great care of us, it exceeded our expectations by far. The food was amazing, they went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. We will forever remember the evenings at the bonfire and John’s support in spotting Kenya’s wildlife at Lolldaiga. Thank you guys for everything. Our time at Chui Cottage was the highlight of our Kenya trip and we definitely want to come back!

“Perfect stay”
Perfect stay.The house was perfect, great rooms with big bathrooms. Sitting on the veranda we were able to see Mount Kenya The personal John and Josphat were really helpful and the cooking really good (Pizzaofen for the perfect pizza) Endjoyed the stay

We didn't realise before arriving but there was a hoast and chef at our disposal. Had we realised we would have made more use of their excellent services. Location is excellent for exploring Ngare Ndare forest. Also great views of Mount Kenya if the clouds allow.

“Exceptional”
Exceed expectations!!! I thought it would be a good place to stay but this was way beyond. The cottage is absolutely stunning and the view magnificent. But what made it exceptional were John, Josphat and Mungai. They made us feel welcome, they did everything to make our stay wonderful and respected our privacy. Josphat cooking is outstanding!

“Loved it!”
The property is as described in the website. The magical view of Mount Kenya while having breakfast is to die for. Also loved having sundowners on the hill. The host was very supportive and always oncall incase of everything. Simon the groundsman was very welcoming and really entertained us by giving us the history of the area. The chef did a fantastic job with the meals. Defeinitely coming back and would highly recommend.
