Very cosy house, you feel easily at home. The house has a high quality finish and is well maintained. Patricia welcomes you warmly and is always available to help and answer questions. The kitchen has all essentials for easy cooking. Our kids, 4 and 6, loved the outside parts, the garden, and the patios. We were there in autumn, so those got, unfortunately, a bit chilly to use in the evening. The house itself has heating elements and extra blankets to keep you warm inside!

Great location. Interesting cabina, which was remarkably cool during the heat of the day, and remarkably warm at night. The best thing, however, about the stay was the proprietor, Patricia, she was fantastic.

Fantastic place to stay with lovely arty touches and unique design. Nice views and very peaceful. I enjoyed talking with the host who was available any time, with a wealth of knowledge.. It has everything you need including decent WiFi, I did some video calls to Australia with no problems.

“Very nice and authentic experience”

Very quiet and atmospheric place. I had my own small building consisting of a double room, private bathroom and also a kitchen (separate entrance) with a fridge, a kettle, utensils and everything. There's also quite a big garden so you can sit outside and relax with a nice view of the town or a sky full of stars. It all looked quite authentic and cozy. The location is not in the center of Tilcara but it's rather an advantage because it's more quiet and still the center is reachable by some 15 minutes walking or a few minutes by car. There's a private parking space. To reach the property you need to turn from the main road to a small unpaved slightly uphill road (some 100 m) of which I was quite skeptical at first glance but it turned out to be ok for a rather small car (Citroen C4 Cactus). And then another turn to the final 50m part of the road which is quite narrow. So I think it's better to ask the property in advance if your car will fit or not if you have a big and wide 4x4. With my C4 Cactus it was not a problem at all. I also needed a stable Internet connection during my stay, I contacted the host in advance to ask about it, they were quite helpful and explained that it should be ok in general but the speed in Tilcara is quite slow compared to big cities (which is understandable given the remote location). Turned out the Wi-Fi was good, quite stable and the speed was ok for calls, etc. Cellular data speed in Claro network was also good.

The room is small but very comfy and clean, and the view of Tilcara and the mountains is amazing. Patricia is a lovely person who waited for us when we arrived late night in Tilcara. She also gave us a lot of information and helped with everything. We are really glad that we decided to stay there and we would definitely come back 🙂
