“It's a hotel and a brewery - how can you go wrong?”

This was our 4th visit to this great quirky little hotel. It is a convenient stop for us on our way to places like Monteverde, has a swimming pool, great food and beer, pretty views and they've even added a nice hiking trail. The rooms are basic but spacious and clean.

This place is full of charm. It’s very chilled on a beautiful spot above the lake. The hotel was built 30 years ago (I think). It’s been well maintained with care but not updated which means it has plenty of character. Downstairs is the Brewery, really unique. The ethos of the restaurant is excellent, ingredients sourced from the hotel’s own grounds. We had delicious dinner and breakfast. We were given a flight of beers to try which was fun and enjoyed playing pool. The shower in our room was excellent!!! Don’t drive past, stay, eat or just try the beers… 🍻

Lovely view and great welcome with a flight of beer. Amazing live music during dinner and staff took the time to take us outside to show us the wildlife

Lake Arenal Hotel & Brewery exceeded my expectations in every area! It is an absolutely gorgeous hotel, with phenomenal views, walking paths, flora & fauna galore. The best brews and fantastic food! And the staff is above and beyond friendly, fun, and fabulous! We felt like we were at a private exclusive resort and we ate and drank to our hearts' content in a literal paradise. The rooms were the most well curated we had seen and the beds were extremely comfortable. The entire hotel is truly beautiful and every bit of it is well thought out. We were in heaven and didn't want to leave! The staff were some of the best people we have ever met and made sure we always had a cold brew in hand (shout out to the Pina Blonde! an excellent pineapple-y ale) and a good time was had by all.
