“Spend the extra $40 to stay in a modern hotel. We stayed here for the nostalgia; rundown mess.”
Restaurant was wonderful. The renovation was nice, and the service was wonderful. All the staff were great. Air conditioning unit in the room worked well, and was clean.

“Loved my time here - and you will too!”
The building is very historical and in the heart of downtown Thunder Bay. The staff were delightful, the facilities were lovely, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast also exceeded my expectations!

“Great getaway hotel with great value for money”
I have stayed at this hotel many times as you can tell from my many reviews. This time I was put in room 503 which was a two room suite overlooking Lake Superior and The Sleeping Giant. Lovely view and soon to be renovated room. They have started their renovations and will soom be doing the rooms. This will make this great hotel even better. They now include breakfast with the room price making it even better value for money. I always recommend this place to everyone.

“Loved the place!”
What an amasing beautiful room we had! Very big! We had the view on the Lake and it was very quiet. You need to use your room key to go up the elevator which is a nice feature considering the 'kids' we saw outside ... The dining room is beautiful and the breakfast delicious!
