The room was neat and clean, with a great view from the window, and though the window faces the street, it wasn't noisy at night. Muna and Lucien were very warm and friendly, and the other guests were also kind. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

I only could give this room 10 points because this app doesn't offer me a 11 . I will recommend this room to everyone who schedule to come to Swissland. The homemade breakfast is awesome , we got bread , ham , cheese butter ，fruit ，homemade jam and yogurt bowl . All the furnitures are so clean and the bed is so comfortable . Living here will let you feel you really live in someone's home. Thun is a convenient town to come to the cities and towns nearby . Muna did a lot of work to keep the house clean and comfortable for everyone live here . And this is also very important to her . She is so kind, talkative , warmhearted and a bit humorous. We talked a lot,and it's a happy memory to chat with her.

“Great example of an Old City building close to everything.”

This apartment is being run as a genuine B&B. The owners are there when you arrive, look after you during your stay, provide a lovely breakfast, and bid farewell to you when you leave. (I am concerned by how many places now are faceless. Send copy of passport; receive instructions and keycode by return email etc etc). The location of the building is right in the fun area of the Old City. In the next street across along the waterway, is a buzzing cafe precinct. The actual street itself is full of old world charm. The owners were full of information about the area, and helped us to settle in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. And everything we wanted to see was in easy walking distance - especially the train station. We don't want to detract from the charm of this place, but it is worth noting that the building has narrowish stairs between each level. There are two rooms per level and the charming and well-stocked breakfast room is on another level. We had carry-on and check-in size luggage. The stairs were a bit tricky, but doing the large bags one at a time was fine. And the owners immediately gave assistance with the bags. We had been allocated a top floor room with good views presumably, but once they saw our luggage, they offered us a lower room at our choice - which we accepted. If you just have backpacks or carry-on luggage, you won't have a problem. And a bit of advice for arrival. They will send you instructions on how to find the front door. We got them and didn't read in full. The street is amazing. The footpath is elevated above the street. If you walk along the footpath, at the address is a shop front. Luckily we were guided to the right place. Go back to street level, walk to the same number, and you have the front door of the building. Amazing design. And as I mentioned, we were told in advance. (Whoops).

The hotel is a bit old and would definitely benefit from some renovation (this is the biggest disadvantage). However, the hosts were extremely polite and welcoming - special thanks for the late check-in! The breakfast didn’t have much variety, but it was freshly prepared by the hosts, which made it feel homely and pleasant.

“A charming, welcoming place to stay”

Muna and Lucien were welcoming and friendly and sought to cater our needs (arranging a vegan breakfast on a short notice for example). The accomodation was located on a very central spot and was very homely.

Maybe not cheap by non-Swiss standards, perhaps not the newest facilities - but it was clean and very cozy, and the hosts were super lovely! Excellent breakfast too.

“Hidden gem in Thun.”

The location was very good as it was close to train station and ferry. Muna was especially a fantastic host, genuinely interested and engaging about our trip. We stayed for 4 nights and breakfasts were exceptional. The best we have had for a long time. Muna paid special attention to my dietary needs. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Don’t be put off by the narrow staircase as we became accustomed to the historical building.

Muna and Lucien were very welcoming and helpful, the range and quality of food at breakfast was excellent (a lot of home made preserves), there was a kitchen for guests' use and an attractive back garden. We enjoyed our stay in this interesting conveniently located traditional town house.

The hospitality was excellent. Muna and Lucien were fantastic hosts. Breakfast was plentiful and beautiful. The room was also excellent with a view of the castle. It's in the old town, so it's guaranteed you will have an awesome, genuine experience.
