Hosts really nice, very homey and very clean.

Lovely, peaceful setting, close to the historic centre of Thorn. A comfortable, covered outside terrace in a beautiful garden make it a perfect place in summer. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and even called us to check we were OK when a sudden storm appeared when we were out. I would definitely recommend it.

The house was spacious and cozy. The house had a really pretty garden. The owners were really nice and offered us bikes. When we checked out the gave us cookies and wished us good travels. Recommend for all.

“Relaxed stay in an amazing apartment.”

The apartment was super clean and very cosy. The kitchen is stocked with everything that you need and you can cook most meals if you want. The beds are comfortable, and heating in winter is great. The garden in the back gives you full privacy and is beautiful in autumn/winter. Decorated for the season by the hosts. Also the hosts are very friendly people that will answer any questions or give you suggestions on what to do in the area. For a ladies chill weekend away it was perfect!

With lovely garden.. and the most helpful friendly and hospitable hosts, It met our requirements to perfection.. and it was just like a home from home .. as we settled into to relaxation and holiday mode.. a real oasis in this beautiful village We would have no hesitation in recommending this property for anyone thinking of booking.

Hello Hans & Truus, So often, it is said that hospitality is best be realized when you feel immersive experience! Nothing different has happened with us till the moment we have arrived B&B Achterom. We never had the feel staying away from our home; neither it was the realization of a typical B7B stay. Instead, we felt it like an extension of our own home or it is like soaking into a pleasant comfort & hospitality offered by a relative or a friend! Both of you are such a lovely human being with a deep sense of care for guests, something distinctively different from a host! You have ensured the extreme privacy for the guests; all items are so mindfully chosen that hardly felt that anything is missing which may need during our stay! The place is amply spacious for a family of 3-4 including kids. But arrangement is there to fit two small families as well! The achtertuin added a different dimension to the stay & a feel of real freshness. We have loved the white village Thoren, and the sense of satisfaction is magnified manifold because of your mindful hospitality. We are sincerely thankful to you for the same! Though it is just a matter of two nights stay, but for sure the memory will stay fresh & alive in our memory forever. We can hardly compare it with anything similar as an experience staying away from home. Thoren maybe a SMALL, beautiful place but we came back home to Haarlem with BIG and more beautiful memories just because we had you both as our hosts. A point I must mention here: on Sunday night our son have said that he loved staying here so much and if we could stay one more night here 😊 it sums up all the satisfaction we had staying here just for two days. Stay safe and stay healthy. Because “Happiness IS NOT A destination, it is way of life” And as you said to us, if we anytime plan to come back to visit this pretty village Thorn anytime in future, we know for sure "your door is always open".
