“Hassan (owner) is very rude! Avoid this place”

The next morning after my arrival, a man entered in my room WITHOUT KNOCKING, while I was in my bed. This situation made me feel very uncomfortable the entire stay, never knowing when a man would enter again and see me naked! (I’m a solo woman traveling) An hour before this happened, I mentioned that I did NOT want my room to be clean. - Hassan (name of the owner) very rude and impolite man, has a lot of anger in his voice, spoke to me in a demanding tone several times. This is Not professional. He would not speak to me like that if I had a man with me. Typical “abuse of his power” behavior on a solo woman. - I threw up lunch and dinner of the same day. Something was wrong with the food. - The key was not working, leaving me stuck outside of the house waiting for someone to open the door. I rang over 10 times and no one opened. - Hassan knocking on my room door at 10pm (insane). - Water stopped working in the middle of my Shower - They turned off the washing machine while my clothes were washing - Room has no blinds. There is light entering all night through the window, you can’t make it dark. - I had a scorpio in my room Tip: There is a lot of harassment in Maldives. I’ve been in 3 different islands, the behavior is the same. For the Single women - Stay safe and Avoid this place

“What a fantastic place!”

What a fantastic place, which we would absolutely return to in the future. The two main beeches are approximately the same distance away from the Inn, and the whole island is very walkable. Lots of amazing restaurants nearby (would recommend Mango house). The owner invited everyone for dinner on 25th December, which was a very nice gesture, so thank you for that, and thank you for such an unforgettable stay!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The overall atmosphere was peaceful, and the location was great, with plenty of nearby restaurants and attractions. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay!

This is an amazing place for a couple! I will recommend it to everyone who wants to go to Thoddoo! Hassan - the owner and his family is very friendly and professional. Hassan showed us the island around, took us to the mosque and even we met his parents and we were invited for a dinner in his house! In terms of the food, we had a full board option, and the food was delicious! Always very big portions and we were never hungry there. Once for the dinner a very big fish was grilled only for us! We could finish only half of it. The hotel let us the bicycles and fins free of charge! They were very useful, loved cycling around the island and to the beach. The room was spacious and clean, same the bathroom! The Wi-Fi was working without any problem. If we ever come back to Thoddoo would love to stay there again! We will miss Hassan and his lovely family!

“A Tranquil Island Retreat: Exceptional Stay at Thoddoo Sun Sky Inn”

Thoddoo Sun Sky Inn, Maldives Our stay at Sun Sky Inn was truly delightful and exceeded all our expectations. The accommodation was comfortable and cosy, and we were treated like family. Hassan, our host, was incredibly kind, polite, and friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. Location: The inn is conveniently located about 700-800 meters from both the Sunrise and Sunset beaches, situated to the east and west of the property. It is also close to Mango House, Café & Restaurant, a fantastic spot for eating and snacking. I highly recommend marking or saving locations on your map, as many streets and small lanes do not appear on Google Maps, making it challenging to navigate. Consider downloading the island map for offline use (approximately 25MB). Facilities: The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, furniture, mirrors, and fresh linens. Amenities include a TV, hot water available throughout the day and night, uninterrupted electricity, and air conditioning. The Wi-Fi, while not high-speed, is sufficient for basic needs, and complimentary coffee is available all day. The inn features a beautiful green garden centrally located at the entrance to every room. Access to the main door is via a swipe tag attached to the room key, which operates a numerical door lock. As this is an island with abundant vegetation, expect to encounter lizards, mosquitoes, and other pests, which is typical across Thoddoo. Food: Breakfast offerings include canned tuna with coconut shreds, boiled eggs, omelettes, sausages, pancakes, bread (with the option to toast), roti, Nutella, jam, butter, fresh watermelon, packed orange and grape juices, and packed milk. Free filtered water is also available.

Everything was even more than we expected! Friendly host, tasty breakfasts, very close to the sea location, quite place to get away from the crowd and spend time with nature it’s just perfect! Nothing more to say,we will be back here for sure once it will be chance to back to Maldives again!

“Nice and clean room with friendly staff”

The room was big and clean. The location was ok. We could borrow the bicycles for free every day to go to the beach and around. We also had a terrace on which was nice to seat when it was raining.

You will be able to find great food with around US$5 per meal on the island, there are many options, our top picks were Mango House, Dining restaurant and Giardino, just please prepare the local cash for those much cheaper local restaurant. Also try to get a fancy drink from "Simply with Aandespecial". If you are Russian you are lucky since >70% of the tourist on the island are Russian. The are two beaches on the island, namely Sunrise Beach and Sunset Beach (Thoddoo Beach), both are great and you will not be disappointed. We managed to meet a secret animal in the sea during our stay that we had been dreaming for, how lucky we are! Buffet breakfast has been excellent, I am vegetarian and I managed to feed myself very well. Some snorkeling equipment is available and bicycles are there, it's free to use but first-come-first-serve. The speedboat is US$35 per head per ride, or if you are brave enough you may try the public ferry [Google: atoll transfer 303-male-thodhoo-ferry]. One point to note is, booking.com might not showing the taxes until the payment page, the charges and taxes almost equal to the full room fee. Overall, it's an amazing place to explore the local life.

Breakfast everyday the same, some bread, butter, egg, tortilla with tuna, pancakes with jam, tea, cofee, juice. The hotel has bicycle (little bit old fsashioned, but good) for free, we used they to cycle to the beach. The weather was perfect, no rain, no moskitoes, the airconditioning works well and silent.

I really enjoyed my stay at Thodoo. The owners were really nice and helpful. The breakfasts were great, the room was big and the surroundings well maintained. The staff really made sure I felt comfortable here and asked if I had any special requests.

We really enjoyed stay at Thoddoo. We felt family atmosphere at this place. Owner Hassan and his brothers are very kind and hospitable. We can borrow the bicycles and fins for free. It take 5 minutes on bike to absolutely beautiful bikini beach (west side). Wi-Fi was working without any problems. We liked the food, it was very tasty, breakfast was usually Malediven style (coconut with tuna, roti), but it is not problem for ask for continental. Lunch and Dinner was various every time (some time pasta with tuna, sometime fish with salad, fish in sauce with rice…). Each room has a balcony with sitting. We didn’t miss anything!

The host it was very understanding with my friends situation, they was forced to cancel the holiday because of some family problems, no charged for the cancellation. Quite area

Everything was perfect! Hassan is very kind, he picked us up at the port and we even got a welcome drink - fresh coconut! Accomodation is nice and clean, breakfast is delicious! There is also free water and snorkeling gear. Thank you for everything :) Marcela and Tomas
