Absolutely wonderful stay. Everything was perfect. Ali is such a great human being. He waited us in the port and gave us two coconuts and dinner for free as a welcome in Thoddoo. Also, the staff were extremely kind to us and helped us with everything we needed. I also what to mention that Ali was so kind and helped us taking the speed boat at a certain hour when we needed and he also gave us a present and the end.

The location and the hotel were very friendly and had a family atmosphere. The island is inhabited by locals. There were many shops, small clothing stores, a mosque, a school and massage salon There are numerous restaurants around the hotel, only a 1-2 minute walk away. The food was fantastic in all restaurants, as was what Hassan cooked for us. The beach was simply beautiful. There are several beaches in every direction. The best way to reach them is by bike (about 5-7 minutes away). Some of them were bikini beaches some not. There was a café next to our hotel (about 10 meters away). Ali and Hassan fulfilled almost all of our wishes. They were very kind people. For my birthday, Ali and his team organized a small concert on the hotel floor as a surprise, creating an unforgettable moment. There is qui It just felt like living at home.

The location was close to the beach and restaurants. Ali, the owner, arranged transportation for us to and from the island, helped us with currency exchange and offered valuable information about the island. Room was cleaned ans towels were changed every day. At the end he even offered us a small gift. Hassan, our cook, was very friendly and prepared a delicious breakfast every morning. We would love to come back one day.

Good afternoon! We stayed at the hotel from October 6 to 12 with our 2-year-old child. I want to give it 5 stars despite some minor issues. We had breakfast and dinner, but later decided to also have lunch at the hotel because the price-to-quality ratio of the dishes was excellent! We would like to give special respect to the chef! I won’t go into long descriptions of the food; I just want you to know that the meals are diverse and delicious. The portions are always large, and you won’t leave the table hungry. They also prepared meals separately for our daughter, taking our wishes into account. Thank you to Mr. Ali (the hotel manager) for always helping with any questions. For example, the hotel doesn’t offer excursions, but Mr. Ali helped us find the best price for the activities we wanted. I also advise against exchanging dollars at the airport (as I did :( ), and instead do it with him, as the rate will be better ;). You can borrow bicycles for free at the hotel for rides around the island or to the beach. There are 2 bicycles with child seats available. It takes 5 minutes to get to the beach via a short route or 10 minutes via a more scenic one. Also, if you don’t have a mask, there is snorkeling equipment available at the hotel. I won’t mention the minor downsides, as they are extremely small compared to all the advantages of choosing this hotel. If we ever return to this island, we will definitely choose this hotel again. We stayed at Holiday Cottage on Thoddoo Island and absolutely loved everything about it. The staff are incredibly kind and caring people. The owner Ali and his colleague Hassan did everything to make our stay as comfortable and worry-free as possible. The food was beyond all expectations — huge and varied portions, fresh whole fish, tasty chicken with sides, and fresh fruit with every meal. Everything was cooked with care and attention to detail. Ali even arranged a romantic dinner on the beach for us — it was absolutely perfect, like a movie scene. The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable, and housekeeping was regular. We were a bit worried about insects getting into the bathroom, but there wasn’t a single incident during our stay. Ali also helped us with some flight issues — he gave great advice, was very understanding, and really went out of his way to assist. There are many thoughtful details that make this place special: - plenty of bicycles available — a must for getting around the island; - snorkeling masks and fins are provided, so you can go straight to the reef; - a 24-hour tea and coffee area with a coffee machine and a great variety of coffee — a real treat for coffee lovers; - and beach towels are also available, which is very convenient. Ali personally met us at the jetty on arrival and saw us off when we left — such a thoughtful and kind gesture.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the staff and owner was very helpful. The food (all of it - breakfast, lunch and dinner) was delicious and there is also possibility to rent a bike with child seat for free for hotel guests. The bigger bikini beach was nearby. Everything was wonderful!

“Wonderful vacation!”

The location was, in our opinion, the best on the entire island – peaceful, yet close to everything you could possibly need (restaurants, markets, souvenir shops) and just a few minutes away from the best and the biggest bikini beach we have seen in the Maldives. The host Ali and other staff were incredibly friendly and responsive, always replying within seconds and making sure we had everything we needed. He arranged a speedboat ride from airport to Thoddoo for us and even waited for us at the harbor. They offered free bikes and snorkeling equipment, which was perfect for exploring the surroundings and the sea – especially since on other islands, these were either not available or had to be paid for. Beach towels were always fresh - cleaned daily, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a huge plus on hot days. The breakfast was varied and delicious, they had pancakes which was a big plus for me. They were even happy to serve it as early as 6 a.m. if you had an early start. The dinners were very generous and tasty, different every day. You could even exchange currency at the best rate right there. And they also had free water bottles available all the time. All in all, it was a perfect experience – amazing staff, a great location, food and top-notch services that made our stay completely carefree.

Everything was great and well organized! At the arrival they surprised us with a ready lunch: best surprise ever! Also the dinner there was always perfect! The room was simple, big, good cleaned every day and comfortable. The staff is really nice! The position is great because it's the nearest place to the beaches. WiFi was always working good.

Highly recommended! When I come back I will stay in this place again :) Ali is a really nice guy and all staff is very kind and helpfull, everything was perfect. Shower outside, awesome experience.

“Welcome to Holiday chilling home 🥰”

I have loved everything. They give us free welcoming lunch , free water, free coffee or tea and towels for the entire week. They have a free laundry service if you need and available lunch and dinner for few dollars. The food is very delicious and the cook Hassan is very kind and always smiling. He also cleans the room every day if you need. The last day the owner also organized for us a fantastic surprise : a wonderful romantic sunset dinner 😍. I love Thoddoo, and I feel at home at Holiday Cottage 🥰

“An Amazing Place”

My wife and me spent 6 nights at the cottage. The room is very nice and cozy. Ali, the owner, is a very kind and helpful person! He is willing to go out of his way to make you happy. Also a big thanks to Asshan and the chef for the amazing variety of meals they prepared us! Delicious! Thank you ver much for everything guys! We won’t forget this holiday at all!!

An incredible place with amazing hospitality. We were warmly welcomed with a complimentary coconut. The rooms are clean and spacious, cleaned every day. The attitude of the staff is fantastic, and the breakfast is varied, delicious, and plentiful. They always serve fruit as well. There are also bicycles available for free use, as well as snorkeling gear and goggles. We had an amazing 9-day stay.

Everything was perfect! They arranged the speedboat from Male for us and we were welcomed with coconuts and other fruits. There are 8 cabins in the property and it is always very quiet. The room was spacious, very clean and it has both AC and a ceiling fan. The owner and staff were very caring and they provided us everything to make the most of our stay: good quality snorkeling gear (mask & fins), fresh beach towels daily, bikes and delicious breakfast (we loved the Maldivian breakfast!). It is one of the closest hotels to the sunset bikini beach, the biggest on the island.
