Stayed before the loop, after and I would have extended if didn't booked the following night. Nong is a welcoming host, friendly and funny. There is a good atmosphere with the people that's stay here. The facilities are good. I also rented a scooter in good condition.

“Perfect”
We had an absolutely amazing stay here. Nong, the host, is truly adorable and incredibly accommodating — one of the kindest and most helpful people we met during our trip. She gave us tons of great advice for the Thakhek loop and even sent us all the must-see spots directly on Google Maps, which made planning so easy. She also helped by recommending guesthouses along the route to reserve our nights in advance, which was incredibly reassuring. The motorbikes were excellent and very reasonably priced (180k kip for automatic and 150k kip for semi-automatic). Everything felt reliable and well organized. When we returned from the loop before continuing our journey, she kindly allowed us to take a shower — a small gesture that meant a lot after days on the road. There’s also the possibility to leave luggage safely, with lockers for personal belongings. She also booked our bus to Pakse for us at a fair price (300k kip), which saved us a lot of hassle. Most importantly, the trust and atmosphere here are incredible. We even felt totally comfortable leaving our passports as a deposit for the scooters. She was truly a ray of sunshine during our trip. If you’re starting the loop from here, this is absolutely the place to stay. Highly recommended!

“Best place to stay for a relaxing time in Thakhek”
My favorite hostel in Laos, Nong is so kind and helpful. Good AC in the room and nice facilities. The treehouse was the best place to relax after the loop! The puppies and her dogs Ashi and Lucky made it even better!

Nong is an exceptional host with incredible kindness. She'll help you with everything in Thakkek, from organizing your loop to renting scooters and buses for your next destination. The hostel is charming, with its dogs and a cozy cabin where you can relax and meet your future travel companions! I highly recommend it, especially with the complimentary coffee in the morning, which is a lovely touch :) I spent my birthday there, and she was incredibly kind!

Staff were very kind and helpful to advise with the loop and onward travel. The bikes were sold out at the hostel but recommended other options very close by. Nice hot showers. Storage for main bags during the loop Would recommend staying here if you do the loop

“Amazing hostel”
Dorms are comfy and clean, so are the bathroom. I like that the showers, toilettes and sink are all separate. The owner is the cutest, super helpful with late check in, gave me loads of informations for the loop. I also rented a bike from them, it was in perfect condition and I didn’t have any issues with it during the loop. Not to forget the 2 cutest dogs and their puppy’s!

“If you’re going to Thakhek read this, I never do reviews but for this I felt I had to, I’ve been traveling for a long”
If you’re going to Thakhek read this, I never do reviews but for this I felt I had to, I’ve been traveling for a long time now and have stayed in a lot of different places but have never stayed anywhere like this before, To start Nong, the lady who runs the hostel is the nicest person I’ve ever met, she’s so kind and helpful you wouldn’t believe it, she creates such a welcoming environment in the hostel and you feel like you’re in your own house, from the second I met her it’s like I knew her years she’s amazing. The hostel is a lovely little cosy place that has load of little spots to hang out and relax including a treehouse type chill area outside making it so social and you meet so many nice people, they have two of the cutest little dogs that are so loving I wanted to take them with me, she has so many drink and snack options available you would never have to leave the hostel, the beds are so comfortable and the sheets and blankets smell great you could tell they were all fresh and clean, they have lots of toilets and showers which is great not having to wait to shower which happens in so many places, just everything you want and more from a hostel. She books buses to and from Thakhek to all the popular routes (Vientiane, Pakse, Don Det etc), she rent bikes, help you plan the loops as well as giving you a google map with all the spots to go see, swim, eat, get coffee, accommodation and more, she kept our bags while we did the loop until we got back, she does all you’re washing for the cheapest we’ve ever got it done while traveling, let us shower when we got back before our bus, she made the whole trip so much easier and enjoyable.
