“An amazing experience, truly special”

Taramontra is absolutely gorgeous. I was worried it was by a road but the river is below the road level so you aren't aware of it at all. The view is amazing and the rooms are lovely with a deck at the back you can swim / canoe off (beware the current though). The reception/ dining area is also lovely- they order dinner (surprisingly hot) from the restaurant next door so you can have it on your deck, but breakfast is on site. You can get a lift from the owner to/ from erawan easily. I stayed with my 10 & 13 yr old for 2 nights and they loved it.

The location of this hotel is amazing, the beds were super comfortable, the service was excellent. we had great dinner on our terrace and used then provided kayak.

“Just Amazing!”

Wow, what can I say! This hotel was absolutely stunning! It is set in a gorgeous location with the river running past you and mountain views ahead. It was nice and peaceful, the rooms were big and clean, lovely smelling toiletries, fridge full of water and kettle with coffee etc in the rooms. The air-con works very well, private shower and toilet area, everything was so clean. The hosts were truly wonderful also; the owner who speaks good English helped us throughout our stay, he gave us a lift to the ATM, 7-11, and also Erawan Waterfall. We were able to sort a trip also with him to visit Death Railway and Hellfire Pass - highly recommend. Our kids enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaking (free) and we even took a party boat up the river! The breakfast was filling and lovely, his family are friendly and brought us extra tea and fruit in the morning, we could not have wanted more. I wish we stayed longer!! Now I want to talk about some other reviews and provide help or clarity about the accommodation. 1. Mountain view rooms and river view rooms are the same, meaning all accommodation is on the river. Mountain view room means there is 1 x big bed, river view room means there are 2 x big beds. Highly recommend room no 5+6 as near everything for us, next to little fish area and swings for photos. Also the rooms have a joining balcony which you can make private or open with a big sliding divider. We had this all open as we had both rooms and a huge balcony stepping down into the river, great fun! 2. People talking about lack of breakfast offering. What more do you want? There are 2 set options, we had eggs, toast, salad, tea, fruit, and more tea was offered when we ran out. Our son had the sausage option with juice. If you want to add tea, its 60 baht if not part of the set menu, just over a pound, its cheap, just buy some if want to add extras, dont moan. 3. There is no restuarant on site, but there is one next door (15 second walk, very close!).

Perfect plays to feel the nature. Very quiet place. River is very calm here as it goes from the river dam so not much currents. Very close to the falls.

The rooms are great to stay on the river. The easy access to the river through your private terrace is amazing. Also the kayaks and SUPs are great to use (free), and even when it is rainy, the river is a great place to relax.

Great location, nice to have free subboards and kayaks available to go onto the river. Nice to eat and relax next to the river. Very friendly personnel. The owner was willing to drive us to the Erawan waterfalls and pick us up again (at a small fee of course, but very ok) !

We loved our stay here, we loved the outlook the beautiful river the greenery, really special. We are water lovers so jumping straight into the river from our deck was awesome and we had so much fun just hanging in the tubes connected to the deck, we went for a kayak and to be able to do this whenever you want is a bonus. The family that own this accommodation were very helpful, with information regarding buses and other restaurants nearby. We were driven to Erawan falls - a must visit one of the highlights our trip - by Mr Zun. We loved staying here, and would definitely recommend it.

The room had a beautiful view of the river and really made us feel like we were in the middle of Kanchanaburi's incredible nature.

Lovely setting with private access to the river and free kayaking. Highly recommended if visiting Erawan National Park

Great location, ten minute drive to erawan national park. Beautiful and peaceful scenery to either immerse yourself in kayaking or paddle boarding or just to sit and enjoy. WiFi seemed kind of non existent but we had Thai Sims so had data anyway. Breakfast was a bit odd, but it was included within the price so can't complain really, nice coffee and watermelon.

The beautiful surroundings and lovely staff

The environment is pleasant and clean, and overall, everything is quite good. However, the breakfast selection is limited, which might become monotonous after a longer stay. Also, basic amenities such as room slippers, a toothbrush, and toothpaste were not provided.
