“Unusual Art Inn”

Conveniently located near bus stops, the Visitor Centre, and several izakayas, this inn is well situated for exploring the area. The exterior is brightly lit, making it easy to locate after dark. The room is divided into three distinct sections, each showcasing a quirky and artistic design that gives the property a unique character. However, it may be better suited to younger or more mobile guests, as the private onsen facilities assigned to individual rooms are located two floors below the guest accommodations.

The rooms are nice and big and very comfortable, giving you enough space to do about anything you want. The private bathrooms are also a nice addition.

The rooms were spacious and beautiful. Traditional Japanese style with an artsy twist. The private onsen was amazing. The location was great. Very nice quiet area in nature, close to lake Kussharo. There were some restaurants and a convenience store within walking distance.

Exceptional place, maybe a little bit expensive. Also has a good location for reaching interesting spots. Each room is different and has a private onsen.

The ArtInn is different - some won't like it but most will love it's appeal for being different. The rooms are very large (in fact like a small house with numerous rooms), they are clean and full of interesting art pieces. Each room has its own individual onsen. The hotel is well positioned very close to everything in town.

Private onsen, enormous room, very quiet

After the reservation, we received an email from the hotel that almost cause us to cancel the reservation. But we read the guests' opinions and we decided to take the risk. We love the artist spirit, but everything was professional. The room was big, the private onsen was good. Lovely experience .

“Disappointing”

Lovely spacious rooms in a funky artist built dwelling. We were in Room 3 which has a large tatami room plus large other bedroom with low table. Quiet location in the small town. Very walkable.

“Peace and space”

Very unique design. Loved the artwork! We needed a freezer and the staff member was kind enough to help store in their own home. Loved the space and having our own balcony and onsen space. The surroundings were so peaceful and beautiful, especially the river and the shinto shrine. Also glad that there were excellent restaurants nearby such as the robata and sushi ya.

unique art-filled property close to nature, with indoor and outdoor private onsen baths. Spacious rooms, only a small number of guests. Set in a small onsen village with hot water streams and close to Mount Io.

Great private onsen . Had a suite of three rooms with balcony looking out towards mountains.... great Didn't mind that our loo and sink were separate to the rooms. Nice little town with public onsen and restaurants. Enjoyed walking aournd this area.

Eclectic, private Onsen indoor and outdoor, walking distance to the small town and Onsen river, lovely sitting out on balcony in the morning (we had the 2 bedroom suite).
