My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Kätkä Lake Lodge. It’s a cozy, peaceful place right in nature, perfect for switching off and relaxing. The sauna was a real highlight after a day outside, and the whole atmosphere felt warm and comfortable. Also, special mention to the food: the salmon soup is to die for. We re still talking about it.

Everything is OK.Thus is a wonderful Haus ,the all private area ,silence .Parking place .Fortunately was a good weather and the lake is marvelous.The owner welcome us ,Is the very helpful man and friendly.Thankyou very much .We recommended for every family that like silence and nature.We will come back again .

“Beautiful , serene, amazing place to stay!”

We stayed for a week in February. It was the most beautiful location, and so peaceful and serene. The cabin overlooked the lake. We enjoyed being away from everything and everyone. The area was stunning and we loved waking up each morning and looking out over the frozen lake. We had 2 nights of aurora borealis and took beautiful pictures from standing on the lake. The cabin was cozy and comfy and warm. It had a small kitchen area, but note there is no oven or microwave, but that didn't bother us. There is a perfectly suitable bathroom with a powerful shower. The owner, Mikko, is a lovely chap who knows the area and is an interesting and intelligent person to chat with. His moose stew is amazing and I would recommend booking a table for this. The breakfast is really nice and filling and his coffee is top notch! We just can't fault this place at all! We would be happy to return in the near future. It was just magical!

The lodge is beautiful, comfy, private and warm. We loved the location, the kindness of the host and the food served! We really recommend this place if you’re looking for an accommodation in Lapland away from the crowded places. Try the salmon soup ;)

“A calm haven with amazing hospitality”

We enjoyed our stay very much. We chose a place to stay further away from the city center, looking for a remote and quiet place away from the tourist crowds, but with the convenience of good service and a restaurant. The host is an awesome guy who cares a lot about his customers, and his little dog, Onni, is a real sweetheart. The place is like old time Lapland accomodation. The atmosphere is very calming, silent and homelike. Food is exceptional here and local products are used to prepare them. We got to also witness the Auroras with a small surprize from our host. Thank you Mikko for having us ! Such a lovely place, lost in the middle of silence and forest ! Perfect to ressource yourself ! Don't hesitate to talk with the owner and ask him to cook local food ! We had moose stew and home made mashed potatoes ! It was just delicious ! The room was clean and big enough for a couple. Well equiped ! Place easy to find with a GPS. Forest all around to walk and Reindeers come to walk on the lake or in the backyard.

Everything was good as expected. We took a wrong road and our car got stuck in the snow. The reception was kind enough to send someone to pull us out in 20 mins. The person at the reception is super friendly.

Amazing place, the nature around house is really nice. So warm and nice place. You can listen only sound of nature around. We used the sauna here it was really relaxed and amazing. Peapole here are very friendly. Good atmosfere here
