Santuario Ave Fénix offers accommodation with excellent free Wi-Fi, a garden with a terrace and lake views. You have access to the use of a wonderful kitchen equipped with everything needed; however, you have to buy and cook your own food, there are little shops in the village where you can find basics (vegetables, fruits etc.) for more choice you will find a big market in Tepoztlan which is 15 min away in combi (microbus). Tepoztlan is a Municipality composed of 7 villages; "San Andrés de la Cal" is one of them. Tepoztlan village is the head of the municipality, its mountains are spectacular, its a magic place that can be very touristic and noisy at times on the weekend and the different celebrations, there are lots interesting things to do. San Andrés de la Cal is a very peaceful and beautiful little village, it s people are nice and helpful. Here in Santuario Ave Fénix it s a perfect place for spiritual travelers, who like peace, meditation, yoga, exercise, walking in nature and been away from the touristic circuit. Ideal for people who enjoy nature, healing, harmony, joy and good sense of humor. Santuario Ave Fénix is the land that was chosen to establish a space to connect with ancestral knowledge and wisdom, and carry out our mission as ambassadors of the 5 elements, through sharing knowledge and medicine with the people who come to learn or heal here. Keep in mind that it is a rustic place with a lot of charm, well equipped; it's a special space with accommodation, it's not a hotel, it's important to understand the particularity of the energy that this space represents. There are insects, animals and a stream at the foot of Santuario Ave Fénix. No drugs, no alcohol. We have been in this area for a long time and we know where everything is, so we can recommend things to do. Santuario Ave Fénix is an ecological space, so we have a dry toilet and an outdoor shower with hot water that we share. We are making the accommodations better little by little. So welcome to people who resonate with harmony, respect and amazing peace of nature. Energetically it s a very special place like a womb of nature where you can recharge batteries, rest and meditate. The nearest airport is Benito Juárez International Airport, 53 km from Santuario Ave Fénix.

Staying at Esteban's was a great experience. You're really in the middle of the jungle and can completely let yourself go. I had a wonderful time there and really enjoyed being surrounded by nature. It's a bit out of the way, but the colectivo provides excellent transport links and you can be in Tepozlan in 20-25 minutes. Esteban is a great host – the rules are clear and easy for everyone to follow. The small gym was paradise for me and the view in the morning is a dream.

“Just what I needed after a couple of demanding days travelling.”
It's a quiet refuge in the back of beyond, peaceful and surrounded by nature. Both room and bed were huge and comfortable, and impeccably clean. If you are looking for all mod cons, remember that it is a retreat on the outskirts of a small and friendly village and not a luxury hotel. But the facilities were fine, and there is easy frequent and economical transport to the nearby town by public transport. A splendid place to relax, recharge, and watch the wildlife.

Set out in nature this place really makes you able to turn off all of your thoughts/ responsibilities and just makes you relax. The host was also super friendly. Whenever I had a question she’d be there for me. Clean, spacious, area for yoga. The cooking area is fabulous. Just perfect!
