Absolutely loved this place even on the day I got snowed in. The bed was comfy, all the food was delicious. Having a roaring fire every day to fight the cold was a welcome treat, some places I've stayed have only offered extra blankets. I'm sure some people won't like the squat toilet but if you want the comforts of home then stay there 😉

Peaceful stay below Mount Tazeka.

Gite Dayet Chiker is a small family run homestay in the riad style with small bedrooms, shared toilets and baths, and a large common room for relaxing. The setting is a small farm in a great depression between mountains. It’s lovely and peaceful, with geese, sheep, a dog, donkeys and cats. The family is very welcoming and strives to meet all your needs.

Amazing scenery , feels like home.

Amazing spot , at the top of the mountain plateau surrounding Taza. Tazekka national Park is near and there is so much nature to see as well as activities. Super clean and tidy and the young woman managing is doing a great job. 10/10 I recommend and ill probably comeback later

It was a wonderful place to explore Tazekka National Park. From the Gîte, we did a 6-hour hike to the top of Jbel Bouhadli. We walked very slowly, so it can definitely be done faster! The summit is at 1800 meters. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy, so we didn’t have a great view, but the hike was still absolutely worth it. The national park is very green and has a beautiful landscape that really surprised us. If you want to escape the busy city, this is the perfect place. The Gîte itself was a lovely place to stay. On our first evening, we had a delicious tajine, and on the second evening we had Moroccan soup. The bowl was so big it could’ve fed an entire football team, perfect after a long and rainy hike. Overall, it was a great stay and definitely a place we would recommend. The daughter of the family was incredibly kind and took great care of us. She even taught us a few words in Arabic. And there was also a very sweet and soft cat called Maja who kept us company.

Such a friendly place. It was our first night of our cycle tour in Morocco. It's fairly basic but that's what we'd expected at the price. Lovely food and kind owners.

A great remote home stay.

A great small home stay in the cool of the hills. Easy to find, signpost off the main highway. Lovely family, with great home cooked food.

The host was very kind and extraordinarily helpful. We needed to mount a USB socket on the motorbike, and he drove us around town to find the most suitable workshop. Eventually, thanks also to him, one of the owners of the last workshop we visited drove us free of charge all the way to Tetuan to a workshop specializing in such work, which then did the work. The host also drove us to the beach to show us where we could swim and pointed out where to find the most congenial places for us to eat. We were able to park our motorbikes for free in his garage (he parked his car on the street to leave us the room) Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Great staff, food is excellent too. The log fire is great, though smoked a bit a couple if times. Dried my motorcycle gear in front if it.

Just perfect for down-to-earth travellers with a preference for a native experience.

Siham from the guest family provided us readily with delicious local breakfast and dinner and was allways very attentive even when we came back late night/early in the morning with dirty cloth from muddy field trips, helped us out with cleaning cloth and had always a cozy ingle ready at the cold winter evenings. Despite our lack of of French or Arabic language skills, communication went well with Siham's experienced use of translate app. Great hospitality, clean bed, native food, warm water, electricity, wifi - what else could you need?

If you are a Routard-like traveler, and/or come from camping, this is for you

If you like traveling off the beaten path, and if you look for an authentic, grassroot, natiure-immersive experience, this is an excellent destination, I adores it! Hosts are super friendly, and the location is fanstastic. If you look for a superstar hotel destination this is not for you: shared bathroom and truly rural accommodation,

Tent would be much more comfortable.

The berber girl, who welcomed me was very nice, but she didn't even care to admit that something was wrong with the food after I was throwing up the whole morning after breakfast.
