Overview
Situated between Lake Gäutan and the ski slopes, Tärnaby Fjällhotell offers free WiFi internet, a restaurant and pub and ski-in ski-out. Guests enjoy free access to the gym and panoramic rooftop sauna. The guest rooms have a seating area and a private bathroom with shower. All are equipped with a flat-screen TV with terrestrial channels and offer views of the lake and Ryfjället Mountain. Guests can relax and mingle in the Fjällhotell’s lounge, which features a bar and a small library. In summer, the hotel offers a private bathing jetty, 100 metres away. The hotel store sells ski equipment and clothes. Free private parking spaces are available on site. Tärnaby Fjällhotell is only 20 meters from the Anjabacken ski lift and 250 metres from the Ingemarbacken slope.

“A very nice stay”
Friendly, very helpful staff. We liked the retro feel of the room and I actually would prefer the hotel to stay the way it is and not to modernize, it feels very genuine and not generic. Maybe to even lean in on that retro feel even more and to stay away from interior design trends. The restaurant was great, even a vegan had several choices. The views are stunning!

“Comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings”
We booked late the same date but received excellent service. Tasty dinner with big portions. Sauna with excellent view over the lake. Clean and well-equipped gym with a view. Comfortable beds and lake view from the room. Fresh breakfast. Near bus station for our continued travel the next morning. Minor faults were immediately fixed.

We arrived at this hotel after a long day travelling by motorcycle. The hotel was a really nice surprise and a gem. The location and lake views from the hotel are stunning. The room was nice and big and the shower was good. The authentic Swedish evening meal was really tasty, maybe a bit too salty, but very good. Sebastian, his partner, dogs, and family were lovely and gave us a warm welcome and goodbye. Would love to return one day.

Amazing location and great, helpful staff. I could fill my thermos bottles with hot water before leaving to the woods. Mountain views are amazing.

“A good location for a stopover with magnificent views over the lake and mountains”
Past it’s prime and former glory. The views are great and parts are newly decorated. All in all charming. Free pool table in the bar area and board games available. The panorama sauna closes at 20:00 so we were not able to test, but from higher up in the building the views must be astounding. Clean !
