Overview
Set in a 17th-century building, with a baroque façade and original fresco paintings, The Riad offers accommodation in Tarifa Old Town. The famous Puerta de Jerez City Gate is 200 metres away. Each elegant room has Moroccan-style décor and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hair dryer. Some rooms include a balcony or patio. At The Riad you will find a hammam with traditional moroccan treatments and different types of massage. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including windsurfing, diving and cycling. Plaza de Santa Maria Square is 300 metres from the property, while Tarifa Port is 5 minutes’ walk away.

The place is great and so are the staff. For example, we took an early ferry to Tangier and the staff made sure we were able to have breakfast (out of hours) before we left.

“Beautiful atmospheric chilled place to stay”
A beautifully decorated, well located hotel. The free minibar and fabulous continental breakfast was greatly appreciated. The host and all staff we met were very welcoming and pleasant. They showed us the facilities and explained everything clearly to us on arrival. A gem of a place!

It’s very beautiful antique hotel, very comfortable, in the old town but quiet …and so closed to car parking like 3 minute walk. Cafes and shops also around. If we ever coming back to Tarifa, we’ll definitely stay there again

Lovely building, location was great. Very quiet location yet 2 minutes from restaurants etc. room was a good size and was exactly the sort of accommodation we wanted and expected for a Riad. Whilst there were no tea/ coffee facilities in the room there was on the terrace one level down. Not only that we had a lovely breakfast there on the second morning which was provided free of charge which we had not expected. We specifically chose a Riad in the old town for the experience and calm environment and were not disappointed

“Quiet, picturesque and good value stay”
The overall ambience and decor was something else. Ismael was very friendly and really helpful. The property is very central and they have managed to keep their aesthetic of the property with the walls and roofs. The facilities in the property were more than we expected, with a roof terrace and downstairs terrace.

“Unusual, friendly and delightful change from the normal hotels.”
The host Ismal was so welcoming and informative. We travelled with another couple and our bedrooms were different, beds were comfortable and the hotel was very clean. An unusual experience and we loved it. I would love to return around September. It is a great experience. A lovely terrace to enjoy at any time. Tarifa is a windy location.

Everything except the roof was closed off and the first night the flap was open and there was lots of wind and it made a terrible noise .
