Overview
Amidst the beautiful mountain landscape of the Engadine, the Schlosshotel Chastè enjoys an exceptionally quiet location in the holiday village of Tarasp, 7 km from Scuol. The enchanting historic building offers a high level of comfort, a gourmet restaurant and a relaxing spa oasis with sauna parlour, fragrance steam bath, bio sauna, infrared warmth cabin and Kneipp footbaths. All rooms are decorated with Swiss pine wood and are non-smoking (smoking is allowed at the Bar “Grotta Muntanatsch”). Enjoy the fresh mountain air and the many leisure opportunities in Tarasp, which is also an ideal starting point for visits to the Swiss National Park. In winter, the rate includes 2nd class tickets for the Rhätische Bahn from Scuol-Tarasp to Zernez, free use of local buses and a free cable car ride per day to the hiking and ski area Motta Naluns. In summer, several additional cable cars can also be used for free.

“Fabulous Stay! 🇨🇭 Spectacular Views! 🖼️”
Wow! Where do I begin! When you approach the village you will be in amazement by the Castle of Tarasp that you see set high up on a rocky hill! Then when you arrive at the hotel, it looks like a scene from a fairy-tale! Beautiful flowers everywhere and the structure of the building is very pleasing to the eye! The staff are super friendly and very kind! They will make sure that you are having a wonderful time! I was surprised when I saw my room and the spectacular view from the windows! I had the single room with the four-poster bed and no detail was spared! The architecture in my room was amazing and beautiful woodwork too! The bed even had a remote control so you could sit up or put your feet up! Nice stereo system too! When you look out the windows you see snow capped peaks, a beautiful lake, green pastures and if you stick your head out the window and look to your right, you see the most Amazing view of the medieval Tarasp Castle! There's a beautiful garden filled with flowers located on different levels of the property! When you're walking through the halls, staircase and dining rooms, you will be taken back in time by all of the pictures and alpine memorabilia! The place is just so colorful to look at! There are picturesque hikes all around the quaint little village! Breakfast and dinner were very delicious too! When I come back to this area, I will stay here again! Thanks for making my visit so Spectacular! 😁

“The perfect hotel for our short getaway.”
The style and setting of the hotel are absolutely fantastic. We had been unable to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary last year due to illness, so we wanted to find somewhere special for Valentine’s day. The hotel totally lived up to our hopes and expectations.
