“Charming scenic rural town with country hospitality near the Danube River.”

Comfortable spacious rooms, comfortable beds, free parking and easy access by car, peaceful country town, rural setting, agricultural surrounds, easy to find, just north of the Danube River. The breakfast was not included in the nightly tariff, but it had enough variety and a sufficient meal being good value for only 7 Euro per person. The owner was very friendly and happy to chat and share his time. He could speak English well in person, but it was a bit difficult to communicate in English over the phone or email. I liked that the church across the road had its bells ringing - very charming. Beautifully kept cemetery - locals caring for the gardens while I visited. We enjoyed a delicious, reasonably priced evening meal at the Italian restaurant only 10min drive to Tapfheim. Lovely evening and early morning stroll around town. The next day it was a short drive to Harburg Castle - a lovely medieval castle interesting to children and adults alike with fairy tale murals here and there around the gate and entrance. Would stay again and recommend.

The location was perfect as we were visiting friends locally (just a short walk away). The room was spacious and very clean, with really comfortable beds. A medium sized fringe in the room was ample to store drinks and food and the shower room was large and impeccably clean. The breakfast each morning was typically German and with plenty of choice, and the boiled egg we had each day was kept warm with a little wooly jacket on (nice touch)! The host's were very friendly and charming, making returning here again soon something to look forward too. : )

Caretakers are amazing. They spent almost 30 mins to get us vegetarian dinner on holiday when all nearby restaurants were either closed or were asking for very high delivery charges. Breakfast is super value for money. Safe bicycle parking. Clean rooms.

Lovely clean room and property, and a lovely breakfast each morning. The host was very obliging if we were a little late for breakfast, nothing was too much trouble.

The owner is very friendly, and also very flexible, for when early breakfast is needed or other wishes that might arise. The rooms are of good size and the bed, very comfortable, nice boxspring mattress and good (and enough) cushions. Do keep in mind the church bells which will ring at 0600 in combination with open windows. Not an issue for me, as it meant relaxed morning routine and timely arrival at the fair (messe). Will consider this hotel for future visit.
