“Amazing stay, with local experience- awsome food!”
We just want to say thank you so much to Namindu and his mum for making our stay so amazing. We were welcomed by Namidu's mum and his Uncle and offered a King Coconut from their garden! Just what we needed after a 2.5 hour bus journey! Nothing was too much for them. Breakfast was included in the price and was outstanding and we were served large portions! There are a few roadside restaurants nearby, however the food was so amazing at the home stay, we ate there all three nights we stayed. Namindu's mother is an excellent cook, and we thoroughly enjoyed the home cooked sri lankan food! The best cooked chicken across the whole of Sri Lanka; and we sampled quite a bit so far. The location is in-between two beaches, and would recommend Mawella over Kudawella beach, as it is much cleaner. This place is around 15 minutes to the beach, but if you want a beach bar or restaurant its a further 10-15 minute walk along a beautiful coastline. The home stay is situated on the main road, and has a bus stop right in front of the property, ideal for budget travellers using the local buses. You don't notice the noise too much when you are there, and we had some good night sleep! Namindu organised a Kayaking trip for us in Tangalle Lagoon. Not only did he organise this, he arranged for a Tuk Tuk to take us there, wait and take us back. 2 hours cost 3000LKR for the two of us, and the Tuk Tuk came in at 2600 LKR (much cheaper than Pick Me). Namindu and his friend even played guide for us around the Lagoon and showed us the perfect spot for the sunset. We would highly recommend staying here.

Location is horrible. The property is on the main road is terribly loud. Couldn't get a goodnight sleep and ended being awake at 6am with the noisy outside traffic

The room was decent.Since the stay is surrounded by greenery, you need to be careful when stepping outside as bugs tend to bite. However, the owners were friendly, helpful, and supportive throughout the stay.

“Thanks for the amazing hospitality”
Lovely little place between Tangalle and Dikwella run by a lovely family. Sachi and his brother does an excellent job to make your stay comfortable and their mum with lovely Sri Lankan breakfasts. My family and I had a lovely few days. Will definitely stay here when we're back in Tangalle.

Everything was perfect! We made a last minute reservation but they prepared the room quickly. The room is so spacious and has ac! The room is cheap but has everything you need. The family is so nice! We got everything we needed, the breakfast is nice and big! It’s close to the beach and good restaurants if you have a scooter. I would recommend this place! I wish I could stay longer.

“Excellent value for money and so friendly and kind!”
Sachi and his family were lovely and kind and hospitable. The place is perfect for an overnight stop between beach towns, after a busy day of riding. Aircon was excellent and the place was clean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the whole family were so sweet :)

Really friendly family...totally attentive to guest,s needs. Near Batiella Station close to sea. Fantastic breakfast.. For the price can't fault this place. I am seasoned traveller...I know. Safe and clean and comfortable....and friendly. What more could one want for this price.
