Amazing location just a few metres from a gorgeous beach. Staff were very helpful and they did an amazing Sri Lankan curry with all the best condiments. Don’t need to go out looking for different restaurants it’s all there, learnt our lesson the first night!

A great place, just a few steps from a charming, beautiful beach with several restaurants. We stayed in a family Villa with a mezzanine — the villa is lovely. The food was delicious both at the restaurant by the pool and at the one near the reception. The staff were extremely friendly! We also had the chance to meet the wonderful owner and learn the story of the property. We will definitely come back!

“Amazing people, beautiful views, very calm.”

We had the most wonderful stay at Rainforest Nest. The owners, Saman and Umesha, are incredibly kind and welcoming, you immediately feel at home. The room is very nice, really clean and comes with a beautiful view. It’s especially nice to sit on the veranda and enjoy the scenery. The whole place is just so relaxing and peaceful. We did a rainforest tour with Saman, he has an amazing knowledge of the rainforest and shares it with so much enthusiasm. The cooking of Umesha is so delicious and she takes such good care. We are truly impressed by both of them! They also helped us with transport, arranging a driver named Nalaka, who was equally friendly and made the journey an experience in itself. He stopped to show us waterfalls and we were even lucky enough to see an elephant along the way. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to come back!!

Location almost on beach. Pool was nice. I quite liked the openness of the cabanas and just mozzie nets. Table tennis and games a great touch. Would stay again.

We have had a villa and it super spacious for a family of four. The interior was amazing, very beautifully designed, including big terrace. We loved the area, which was very well maintained , super green and clean. Restaurant food was very good, convenient. Proximity to the beach is a huge advantage. Beach was small but very clean, sand was one of the best we have seen. Not too many people so it was easy to enjoy the time there. We highly appreciate our stay there !

The staff went above and beyond for any information or help we needed. The beach was on our front step, literally. The pool was a small oasis, so peaceful. Delicious, healthy, and fresh breakfast and lunch was yummy too.

Paradise! The cabanas were the perfect private hideout, the beach is very private, not a lot people, great to swim. Staff was very nice!

“Beautiful unique hidden gem in a stunning location”

We stayed in a cabana which was a great way to live close to nature. There’s no getting around the fact that the cabanas are quite basic, there’s a lot of wildlife and no AC, but the fans are efficient at keeping bugs away at night and keeping it comfortably cool. The main strength of this place is the location though. It is a stone’s throw away from Goyambokka beach which is such a beautiful place to spend time with some wonderful cafes and restaurants. Hearing the sea from your bed at night is priceless. The free bikes were a nice touch to enable us to explore the surrounding area too.
