Beautiful guesthouse. Very modern with a lovely bathroom. Hammock outside Very near a very quiet beach through the mangroves. 100% recommend the guest house if you want a lovely place to chill.

Loved my stay at Little Sunshine. The family that run it make you feel very welcome, and they helped whenever I had a question. Rooms are clean, very spacious, and the bed was big and comfortable. It's really well located in a quiet area with only a 5/10 minute walk to the beautiful empty beach, and a good base to then get transport to explore other beaches. I ate at the guesthouse for many of my meals as the food was delicious.

“A genuine and wholesome experience”

A spacious room and bathroom. We particularly liked the patio with hammock somewhere to sit and enjoy the beautiful garden. Our hosts were lovely and really looked after us. It felt like a very genuine place with plenty of local character. The freshly cooked food was some of the best we had and the breakfast was just amazing

Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a great bathroom. The location is close to the beach and areas for turtle watching and the resturant at the guest house served well priced good food! The hosts here were amazing. They sorted out an excursion for us, had services such as laundry services with a quick turnaround time and even helped us with a hospital appointment which we had to attend by taking us into the city and translating for us.

This is a wonderful guest house. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and could easily have been tempted to stay longer. We had a very large room and large bathroom that were both spotlessly clean. We also had an outside seating area. It was a very calm and relaxed vibe and an easy walk to the lovely beach. The food was amazing and I took the opportunity to have a cooking lesson with Maduchani, which I very much appreciated and look forward to putting into practise once we are back home.

“Unsatisfied”

I traveled with a child. Room was too basic. The bathroom had an oder. The beach was a bit far if walked with a child. My initial booking was for 3 nights but after one night I decided to check out. Though I decided to check out because I was not satisfied with the property the owners asked me to pay charges for another extra night because it was the "high touristic season" but after I made a complain they asked me to pay 50% from my total booking value as that's the mentioned cancelation policy which I agreed to. Overall my experience with this property was totally not up to standards specially if you are traveling as a family.

“Clean nice room”

The room was very spacious and clean. The food was amazing. The family who own the property are lovely people. In case you drive, there’s easy parking inside the gates. The beach is a short walk away.

Super friendly couple, very nice food and only ten minutes to the beach. We went in off-season, so the beach was super empty.

We loved this place!! Can highly recommend to stay at little sunshine, it’s a beautiful place, the family is super friendly and the food was the most delicious we ate so far in Sri Lanka!! Best Place so far! Go there and relax!

Very friendly little family. There is the possibility of doing laundry. The room was very clean and tidy. Delicious local food was prepared for me both in the morning and in the evening. When I once planned a trip very early, breakfast was prepared extra early for me. That was very nice!

“Great place to stay with a family.”

Great place with great family running it. The apartments are in peaceful area, but close enough to the beach that no special vehicle is needed. Thy offer great food.

Everything was great! We extended 1 night and would have like to stay way longer. Beach is near, just 5min walk. Big comfy beds, hot water, mosquito nets etc. Breakfast was great and they made us good and well-priced dinner by request. We had free park for our rented tuktuk at the yard. We really recommend! Peaceful and quiet neighbourhood!! Host couple is awesome! Super friendly, helpful and smiling! We felt super welcome.

We had a wonderful stay and extended it for 2 more nights. We loved the lovely hosts, they were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Also the food is amazing!! Definitely recommend everything on the menu. The room was big and clean. We loved the hammock outside our door.

I loved this little home stay, the family was really lovely and made the best food I had in Sri Lanka! They also washed my laundry and helped me out with anything I needed :) The room is well equipped and clean and I was very happy with the whole atmosphere and will happily come back!
