Overview
This property is 3 minutes walking to the beach at a 300 m distance. 40 km away from Mirrissa, 39 km to Udawalawa and 13 km to Mulkirigala. Every cabana features a sun terrace. Free private parking is available on site. All rooms have a private bath room with hot water bike and bicycle rentals are available. Some days turtles can be seen on our beach. The place of Turtle watching Rakawa is 5 km away from our place. Boat safari, surfing, rowing, diving and whale watching are close to our property. Guest can get breakfast and dinner from our Eco restaurant.

The place has great potential, but was absolutely dirty. If they improve on this and refresh some of the things in the room, it would be absolutely amazing! I will not go into details, but I will just say we left as soon as we saw the state of it. That should tell you enough.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Beach side King’s Elephant Cabanas & Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and at home. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and they even provided a complimentary drink upon arrival, which was a nice touch. The hotel is located right on the beach, offering stunning ocean views from my room. The sound of the waves crashing was incredibly soothing, and I enjoyed spending time on the private cabins with traditional wild animals and the wave sounds. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities, including a comfortable bed & free Wi-Fi. The decor was simple yet elegant, and it added to the overall relaxing vibe of the hotel. The hotel’s amenities were excellent as well. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals with fresh local seafood, and Traditional Style Sri Lankan Food. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. The location is perfect for those who want to relax on the beach away from the congestion town area. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway by the sea.

This place is a slice of paradise away from the smog and honking of busses and the wizzing of tuk tuks. It's a short ride into town and many other sites are near by. There is a very private beach and lagoon with great kayaking 2 minutes walking distance. There is a lot of nature. In four days I saw 2 large porcupines, several neighborhood peacocks, sea turtles, and loads of other colorful birds. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Need something? Just ask and they are more than happy to help. Prices are very reasonable. You can tell this area was starting to grow a bohemian vibe pre-covid and has settled down a bit die to lower tourist numbers. Don't let this detour you. This would be an excellent location for a group retreat.
