About George and his attentive, lovely and caring stuff all previous reviews told you about them. It is all more than correct. They are amazing, the hospitality is outstanding. Just like the architecture of the building which is creating an intimate atmosphere around the pool in the centre. Each unique room has art wherever you look between comfort in the bathroom as well as streaming services on the TV and a mini bar. You feel like home, staying a day inside you are more than comfortable not missing anything if you eat whatever George and the boys are creating for you fresh in their clean neat kitchen while music is playing and guests are quietly chatting with each other or reading in one if the art books displayed. Indulge in the atmosphere of Sri Lanka individual luxury tourism lifestyle, trying to meet ones needs whatever you might wish for. Sri Lanka traditional Villa life combined with the modern art of living. Well done. It is worth to explore.

“A idyllic retreat space.”

I chose D’Art carefully for guaranteed rest and respite and was warmly welcomed and looked after. I came to feel very quickly as though I was in a home away from home. Suresh the manager is exceptionally good at hospitality it comes naturally to him. I highly recommend staying here if you want a few days or more of tranquility. The menu changes daily the choices are excellent and the on site massage service a major bonus. This little haven is surrounded by sweet birds, cute geckos and two temples. After only a few days I felt a little sad to leave and so decided to return before I departed Sri Lanka. I wish them well.

Absolutely everything!!! George, Suresh and the team were absolutely incredible and couldn’t have done more for us. The place is stunning, like staying in an art gallery that also feels like home. The food - divine and prepared right in front of you. An absolute dream, we didn’t want to leave.

This is the most beautiful property we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. It’s so perfectly thought out with gorgeous rooms, views, dining areas and a picturesque pool. George and his team are nothing short of incredible. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, helping us with our questions and cooking up delicious meals - it was like a private fine dining experience each evening! We set off early from the villa one day to head to Yala for a safari, and were kindly met with a prepared breakfast to take with us. These thoughtful moments really enhanced our experience! We felt so relaxed at the villa and just wished we could have stayed longer. We’ll be recommending to all our family and friends - and look forward to returning again one day! Thank you for such wonderful stay!

Our stay here has been nothing short of exceptional. The accommodation has been meticulously designed with a creative, tasteful flair—every detail feels thoughtful and refined. After a busy day exploring, returning to this place truly feels like slipping into a calm oasis. The open, spacious, and private setting adds a sense of luxury that’s hard to beat. The team has been incredibly attentive to our needs from the moment we arrived. Such beautiful people—warm, genuine, and always ready to help. The location, while tucked away and wonderfully peaceful, is still perfectly situated for accessing all the beaches along the southern coast with ease. Highly recommended for anyone seeking beauty, comfort, and a touch of serenity.

Staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful - could not do enough for us! They were always happy to help us by booking taxis or making drinks. We had a homemade breakfast every morning which was delicious, and loads of it. The hotel itself was stunning and very clean and quiet.

“A moment living in Art.”

It was like spending 4 days within a work of art. This boutique villa has been specifically designed down to every detail. We could step from our room almost directly into the cooling pool which was wonderful. George and his staff were very accommodating and friendly and the breakfast and food was delicious - a great Sri Lankan breakfast! As the property is walled you really feel cocooned here. We needed to take a tuk tuk to the beach etc but that wasn’t difficult.

This Villa was the perfect place after exploring Ella, Kandy and Sigiriya. Perfect place to start slowing down! The Team was super kind and gave us a lot of tips for dinner and which places to visit in Tangalle. Sure, we travelled during the low season but everything was offered, even more. If I ever visit Sri Lanka again, this is a place I’ll definitely visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the unique D’Art Villa in the penthouse. Amazing space, luxury throughout, and every need taken care of by the fabulous staff team. More than a hotel, this boutique villa exudes style and attention to detail. Based in the countryside it’s lovely to just walk out of the door and be surrounded by stunning scenery, bird and wildlife. A sanctuary perfect to relax, unwind and be pampered. We definitely will recommend and hope to visit ourselves again soon.

We can’t thank George and Suresh enough, they are both amazing. Food was delicious, clear communication when organising day trips and massages. The villa has 5 bedrooms and we were upgraded to the penthouse which was huge! Whilst all 5 bedrooms are in the bedroom, you feel like you have your own private space. Beautifully designed by Martyn Dempsey. 2/3 days is perfect here.

“An idyllic sanctuary. Blissful!”

D’Art Villa is stunning in every way. The design and build is immaculate, both imaginative and sophisticated yet very comfortable. The open design allows the surrounding nature to come inside (not in an intrusive way). The pool is lovely. The food is superb and is prepared from fresh in the open kitchen. George and Suresh and their team go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to provide anything needed without being intrusive. They are true heroes of hospitality! The property is a few kilometres from Tangalle and the beach (a short tuk tuk ride), but it’s rural location allows for memorable walks observing the local human and animal population (the variety of bird life in the surrounding area is amazing). Our stay was the absolute highlight of our trip and we would love to return some day.

This property was amazing. Suresh was my point of contact at the property and he answered all of my questions prior to arrival promptly. Upon arrival I had the pleasure of meeting him and his staff. They could not have been more gracious and helpful. Everything about this property was exceptional the pictures do not do it justice. I would highly recommend staying here. It is only five rooms and I am hoping to return and rent it for my family. It was a high light of our two week stay in Sri lanka.

The property is beautiful and so peaceful. The design is very chic but homely and cosy. The staff were exceptional and George, the manager is an asset to this hotel.

The stay at D'Art was magnificent and it far exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and very unique. The staff- George, Suresh and their team went above and beyond to ensure we had a relaxing time. The hotel only has five rooms so it is not oversubscribed (one of the best parts). It really feels like you have your own space and can relax with all the personal touches. The food was excellent, freshly cooked in front of you in the incredible kitchen . The rooms were excellent, comfortable beds and pillows, and the biggest bath I've ever had. The pool was lovely, clean and perfect temperature. Don't be put off by the fact that this isn't overlooking the coast, all of the local beaches are extremely accessible Many thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well. Best, Will and Louisa
