“Great stay, kind & helpful host”

10 minute walk from the train station, easy to get to and find using google maps. Washer/Dryer and air drying facilities Host was so so so helpful and had lots of information available about the local area and Kumano Kodo

The host is fantastic and so helpful. He even called ahead and booked our campsite for the Kumano kodo hike and helped us organise our luggage transfer. This place is perfect for a one night stay before the hike

“Good Value Guesthouse”

The host spoke English very well and the check-in process was super easy. I did not hear the other guests as my room had solid walls so I slept very well. There are signs in English instruction you on every possible question you may have.

I liked the check-in process, very easy and convenient. The room I had was very quiet with solid walls and no creaking floors so I didn't hear the other guests all night. The host speaks English well, but even if he is not there, they have left signs in English all over the place to help you navigate the kitchen, bath and shower, A/C and luggage storage.

As the pictures show. It is a very cosy spot to spend a night just before the Kumano Kodo. The host gave excellent food recommendations and advice for the hike itself. Would recommend!

Location: central in town Spacious and clean room, with restocking of things and air conditioning. Well equipped and well kept kitchen. The service was impeccable. Proactive and responsive host, above and beyond. Good value for money.

The room, the location. Room is small but adequate and reminded me of Doraemon. Futon was adequately comfortable and I was able to fall asleep.

Fantastic homestay for accessing anything Kumano Kodo related. 10-minute walk from Kii-Tanabe Station and a great price! Host speaks perfect English and is extremely helpful with any planning for hiking or bus journeys, just ask and he will assist! He can also arrange luggage transport for you. He did me a huge favour by allowing me to store some heavy luggage for 4 days whilst on the trail, which I then retrieved when I stayed here again at the end! You can check yourself in which is great if arriving early afternoon, and the host will pop in to check if you need anything. Full Kitchen, shared bathrooms and Laundry also avaliable!

Effective Kumano Kodo marketing! Good written information about Kumano Kodo & host with good English skills (guide) willing to help. Easy, flat walk to station and Tourist Centre and beacb; easy access to many bars/restaurants. Appreciated economical suitcase storage Pre-post walk.

Very convenient location to plan Kumano Kodo walking. The staff is very kind, they assisted us in sending our luggage. We recommend this place!
