The staff were incredible, catering to our every need, including excellent accommodations for our baby; the property was spotless and well-maintained, the food was outstanding thanks to a talented chef, and we would highly recommend this place, especially for groups.

The property is well maintained and the hosts are amazing. Arguably my best stay in all of the travels I have done across the world. Never had any issues and even requests for a late lunch or early breakfast were accommodated for. The house staff is very polite, the rooms are well maintained and the pool is always kept clean and tidy. On request, customized dinner and/or lunch is also available.

Where to start? This is THE perfect place to unwind and ground during any time of your vacation. We had already been in Sri Lanka for three weeks and wanted a place away from the beach, surrounded by nature. From the local monkeys, the array of birds, flocks of parrots, and peacocks jumping up on the roof, to the resident kingfisher. The sounds in the morning are spectacular. Then there's the hotel itself, built as an old colonial-style house. The pool area is the perfect place to relax, and the food offered was lovely - we highly recommend the curry (of course). We used our days there to ground, reflect and journal. Thank you to the team for looking after us. The service was excellent throughout our stay. Grateful to the whole team.

Atmosphere of the place was great, manor itself was majestic and everything felt unique and well thought through. Pool together with the lounging area was amazing, garden was lively with birds, squirrels and lizards roaming about - really awesome. It was really quiet with only the sound of the nature around you, but not too far from beaches or Galle. Room was a bit dark, but it is a manor so we did not expect floor to ceiling windows. Bathroom was one of the best. Staff were great, they always looked after us well and there was even a security guard during night-hours on post. Breakfast was by far the best of all the places I visited in Sri-Lanka, 12/10.

It should be said that it is a very unique old mansion. The super high bathroom on the ground floor is very special. The dinner cooked in the kitchen is delicious and the breakfast is very rich. There is also a swimming pool. The only thing is that there are a lot of mosquitoes. If you like tranquility, it is worth coming here.

We lucked out and had whole place to ourselves. It was an incredible base to explore nearby Galle and beaches. But more importantly it’s a destination in itself. Stunning architecture and interiors. Staff were all great and helpful but also fairly chilled. Pool was perfect , area was beautiful and peaceful. Bedroom and bathroom were swoon worthy and the configuration of the tub and shower was a brilliant feature. And great toiletries too.

Sri Lankas breakfest was fantastic. Stuff was really helpful and friendly. Pedlar's Manor is wonderful. We stayed there 5 days and loved every second of it.

“Unique Boutique Hotel with lots of Character!”

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with only four rooms. The property is set amongst nature with trees and fields in the surrounds, we even say monkeys in the trees while we were eating breakfast.

It was even better than the photos, loved the bedroom, the location as it was tucked away from the busy main road to all the beaches. Really friendly guest house staff always on hand to help.

Absolute gem of a place. Perfect for that small group of 6 to 8 to have a great time.

“Escape the Rat Race.”

..Location was amazing a good Tuk Tuk ride from either Thalpe or Galle. We hired a moped and it was amazing We would relax and watch the monkeys and other wildlife that we shared the area with. The staff were so welcoming and were a delight. Especially the chef.. What food we had ❤️ If you stay pay for a meal especially the Sri Lankan curries. Room we had was so charming..

From our point of view this was one of our top highlights in Sri Lanka. Very nice, silent and unique architecture accommodation. The crew is just amazing like the villa. one of the employees brought us a goodbye gift, made of olives from the tree of his garden. just as an example. Thank you guys to made our days!!!!!! All in all everything, seriously everything, was incredible.

Everything was amazing. The property was exquisite with vintage cars parked everywhere. The rooms were beautiful with massive bathrooms. The amazing pool was accessible till late night. The best part was their staff who ensured to make our stay super comfortable. Excellent food as well.
