Overview
Housed in a 15th-century farmhouse, this Dalarna countryside hotel is 400 metres from Lake Siljan. It offers free Wi-Fi and charming rooms with luxury beds and a flat-screen TV. Each individually decorated guest room at Åkerblads Hotell & Gästgiveri has a work desk and a private bathroom. Some include a balcony and spa bath. The restaurant was excellent — easily one of the best parts of the hotel, together with the spa. The breakfast was huge and truly impressive, one of the biggest and best I’ve experienced in the Nordics.

Location is very nice. The complex looks beautiful, the garden, the buildings, the commonal areas. It looks as described in their web page (4 stars hotel) and as per pictures. However, because we have a DOG….

“Exceptionally good!”
We had a wonderful stay! The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is calm and relaxed and so relaxing with lots of places to sit and enjoy the ambiance! The spa was also really relaxing and simple. The food is excellent quality in the restaurant and the breakfast exceptionally good!

“Wonderful relaxing time in a little countryside gem. Loved our stay there!!”
The hotel is very cute & comfortable. The room was spacious and the bathroom was nice too. The restaurant staff was lovely and took great care of us too, both in the mornings and evenings. Finally, we booked hot stone massages at the spa, which were super relaxing. Alexandra did both of our treatments and she was very attentive and made sure we walked out of there in a halo of relaxation and bliss 😁. There was also a gym, which I really appreciated after a few days of not being able to work out while traveling! All in all, there is clearly a lot of care put into the hotel, which we appreciated.

“I wouldn't stay again, maybe only to check on the spa.”
Reasonably comfy bed, I had a nice view on the lake from window, there is also a nice garden with lots of apple trees. The room had some water bottle, and there was a kettle to have a tea. I was there only for a short time, so I didn't use spa.

“Wonderful hotel in Dalarna!”
The hotel is very cute, mixing traditional and modern in a nice way. The personnel is extremely nice and are ready to answer any questions you might have. The dinner was excellent!

“Great traditional atmosphere; lovely, rustic countryside surroundings; clean and comfortable hotel.”
We had a nice stay here. Our rooms were upgraded to junior suites, which was a lovely surprise! The gym and spa were clean and tidy. The heated outdoor pool was great, especially since we happened to have great weather. We enjoyed the breakfast that had plenty of options.
