Great Location took a while to get used to staing in a hostel being a bit older getting out of the top bunk was difficult first few times in the dark but after a few nights i. was like monkey ha... on who is sharing the place and most were nice and friendly i like to chat so once you start with hello it helps

Gorgeous location, my favourite in Thailand so far, right on a super quiet unspoiled beach. Comfy beds with privacy and loads of storage space. Really clean rooms and bathrooms. Even had hairdryer and straighteners which really sorted me out as I was headed to a wedding. Staff were also really helpful especially when I had motorbike struggles.

The location was perfectly quiet and only about 30 metres walk to the beach. Not much going on if you needed shopping you needed a scooter ...it's perfect if you want peace and quiet....there are a few bars and restaurants and little shop to buy basic supplies like water beer and snacks etc but they all close about 8 pm.

This was by far the best hostel I’ve stayed in so far. It was spotlessly clean, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I originally had a 4-night reservation, but after loving both the hostel and the area, I extended my stay for two more nights. I was happy with everything. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need, and the same goes for the showers. The beds are very comfortable and perfectly clean. Having a washing machine is also a big plus. If I ever come back to Samui, I will definitely stay here again. Watching the sunset every day from the seaside rooftop was unforgettable. I absolutely recommend this plac

“perfect hostel for solo travelers”

What was meant to be a two- or three-week stay turned into seven weeks. Aforetime is the perfect hostel for solo travelers who love meeting new people. Every evening was filled with games, music on the guitar, and shared sunsets. It truly felt like a little family. The location is ideal: peaceful surroundings, stunning nature, cheap, nearby local shops and restaurants. You really live among the locals here, and arranging taxis is easy, doesn’t matter what time it is. The hostel is spotless because of the amazing staff. A special shout-out to Phyo, a team member who will do anything for you. He’s by far the kindest and most helpful person I’ve ever met in any accommodation. Don’t hesitate to ask him for help or simply have a chat. The hostel has two locations: Hostel 1 is by the sea with a cozy chalet vibe, while Hostel 2 is just a minute down the road and offers a modern feel, a charming terrace and way bigger rooms. And for animal lovers, there are two adorable dogs (fishi and diva) who greet you with cuddles every day and even join you for a swim. If I return to Koh Samui, I’ll choose Aforetime again without a doubt!

“A very blessed and peaceful Mai Place!”

Mai Place is so close to beach and nice restaurants around. It is very peaceful, away from mad touristic noise. The locals are kind hearthed. The temple is must vist, specially on Buddha day. The Hostel have beach front terrace for guests to chill out. The management team Phyo, owner Sam are always there to help ensure I was comfortable and enjoying my holidays. Keep up the great work guys!

Everything went perfect, warm welcome by Neha and all the staff really nice. Evening time playing some table games and the location just amazing, if you want chill and rest without partying, this one is your Hostel. Thank you! If I'm back I will go there for sure.

Friendly staff, quiet part of koh samui it felt like going back in time which was great it felt like experiencing Thailand years ago everyone’s also so friendly and it’s basically on the beach 😀

The host is very friendly, he let us check in an hour earlier, sent us all the info about restaurants near by... it was a pleasant stay in a calm area. To just turn off and relax, it is a great place, if you want to see more of the island, visit some night market or have a massage in the evening, it is best to have a scooter.

Right next to the beach, this hostel has an open entrance that serves as a living room - dining area, connected to the street. This is the perfect spot to get in touch with fellow travelers or locals passing by. I stayed at the new hostel -Trival, by aforetime- but came here twice to socialise.
