“A tranquil stay with wonderful hosts”

A wonderful host and a peaceful location. The apartment is beautifully designed and has a real traditional ambiance. We loved Satomi and Haru’s welcome; it was a lovely personal touch. Takeo onsen is literally over the road and worth a visit. Good in the morning when not so busy. There is a nearby soy ice cream shop with a foot spa. So good to soak and eat…

“One of the best stay in Japan, aesthetic and soulful place to stay at”

Our stay at Unsui was one of our top rated experience in Japan. The hosts Satomi and Hal were kind and welcoming. We spent the New Year's Eve in here and they served us Japanese traditional New Year's breakfast and also the onsen yudofu hot pot dish, which made our stay extra special. You could easily tell they poured lots of love and care into all the food and drinks they served, even onto the utensils they used. The design, paintings, displays and all the small details of the whole building and the rooms were just aesthetic and pleasant to look at. Beds were comfortable and the whole apartment was very clean and relaxing. We saw the snowing from the windows and the view really calmed our souls. Location is really good as well. Unsui sat at a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, right next to the public hot spring Takeo Onsen, and it was a nice walk to all the attractions and the train station. Satomi also gave us good recommendation to all the nearby attractions from this area to some of the nearby towns. Overall, cannot rate this place even higher, hopefully we could go back for a second time.

The host speak very fluent English. She gave us recommendations of food and nearby places of interest. We have the whole place to ourselves and are free to use the utensils.

We have stayed in some nice places on our trip so far but unsui raises the bar to a new level! This place is a paradise for anyone who loves beautiful materials, fine craftsmanship, and sensitive design. Satori and Hal are wonderful, helpful, and generous hosts. A beautiful place to stay and spend time. I will recommend it to friends and hope to return again myself!

“Kind hosts and beautiful property”

The hosts were so lovely and helpful! We got stuck out in heavy rains and she messaged us advice on how to stay safe. The next morning, we learned the trains were delayed due to the weather and she called a few bus companies to see what our options were, and when it was impossible ti get a taxi to the train, she very kindly drove us to the station. The rooms are beautiful, with traditional Japanese elements and modern comforts. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood a quick taxi or easy walk from the train station (when there isn’t a typhoon lol)

Satomi san! She is very a considerable hostest. we were comfortable staying, Takeo city is attractive to enjoy relxation for us. I wish to revisit next holidays. The classical Japaness room is nice,we experienced a special days.

“Amazing stay”

The flat is tidy and clean. There is a dining room, a Japanese style sitting room, and an open kitchen. It is located very near to the Takeo Onsen Romon, just 1 min walking distance. The host, Satomi, is very nice. She provides us with many tourist and dining information. Although it is not next to the JR station, it is very handy to reach there by taxi with a cost around 800 yen for a 5 mins ride.

“A memorable stay”

We had a lovely time staying in this traditional Japanese style apartment. It is tidy and spacious, has lots of details hidden around the corners. The host was very friendly, responsive and helpful, provided detailed suggestions about placed worth visiting in Takeo and even guided us to see fireflies at night. The day we checkout out of the apartment we forgot backpack on the bus, the host was kind enough to contact the bus company for us right away. This is by far the most pleasant stay we ever had in any country.
