Beautiful house, lots of space, fully equipped kitchen. Steep stairs no problem at all for us but they are steep! We all loved the outdoor bath and the sauna. Also Japanese style pyjamas! Great location, everything easily walkable. Owner extremely helpful when we accidentally left something behind.

We loved the central location, it was along a quiet street, next to a small canal. The views in this area are incredible. We also loved using the sauna. It was quite rainy when we were in Takayama, so warming up after a day of sightseeing was such a luxury.

Perfect location, very quiet area but close to the main attractions. Features all worked and were very nice; outdoor bath is great. Very clean.

The property is extremely well located to reach the Old Town attractions on foot. It offers a carpark, on-site, which was invaluable for us since we had hired a car for our in-depth exploration of Japan. Everything about the property was absolutely perfect.

It was central to many attractions. We could walk easily around town. My husband and I were comfortable in the beds. We enjoyed the sauna. Plenty of kitchen equipment. We had a nice family time here.

Quiet location in nicer, old part of town. Easy access to shops, restaurants and shrines and temples. Very clean, well equipped property. The kitchen was particularly well equipped.

Takayama is beautiful and the property location is fantastic, the temple close by is peaceful, the historic streets nearby are lovely and the variety of shops are great. We enjoyed the sauna and outdoor bath at the property, the towels were soft. Having basic cooking items and oil, seasoning and soy sauce was good too, and the welcome drinks were a nice surprise. The chairs in the dining room were very comfortable. Takayama is a beautiful place well worth a visit. We recommend a bus trip to Shirakawago for amazing scenery.

We only had a one night stay, but this was a nice apartment in a quiet part of town. The outdoor bath was lovely, and the drinks in the fridge were a nice touch. Washer and Dryer worked well. Futon beds for the kids plus two real beds. Pjs, and toothbrushes all provided. Convenient parking space out front.
