“Best inn in Japan”

The hosts were amazing. The Fujiwara's are an amazing family, very sweet, accommodating and helpful. Mrs.Fujiwara filled our bath every day before we returned from exploring the sights, and they gave us fireworks to light up as a compliment because it's a Japanese tradition. The house was immaculate, we stayed in other places around Japan ,but this was,by far, the cleanest one. We also paid extra for breakfast,which Mrs.Fujiwara made and it was absolutely delicious! Everything was literally perfect! There are many activities to do around the area.

A perfect countryside Japanese farmhouse stay. By far the best stay of my trip here. Owners are so kind and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. They prepare your bath, take you shopping, and even to rent a bicycle and then to the train station on my last day. Amazing people. The classical music and the view every morning are just exquisite. Could not be happier. Incredible value for your money also.

Everything is perfect

The accommodation is hosted by the loveliest couple, with very thoughtful touches. It definitely feels like visiting your grandparents. The place is spacious for a solo traveller.

Peaceful farm house with traditional Japanese bedding (surprisingly comfy). Run by a lovely older couple and their son who really make you feel welcomed.

a lovely stay in a traditional farm-house. a real country-side experience with so nice people! even had a mini-onsen-like experience. it is a quit place, we where looking for this kind of experience. the land -lord is living downstairs, we had a big traditional room upstairs.

I reached the property quite late in the night, and the landlord lady is patient and wait for you, tried her best to use translate app to introduce the facilities of the rooms. The room is very big with a kitchen room, really enjoy the time there.

Excellent stay at this beautiful guest house during our cycle around Lake Biwa! It's an absolute gem of a place. The property itself is very well maintained, with traditional features throughout (such as the tatami room and the Kotatsu in the living room). The owners were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back! Highly recommended.

“Perfect countryside experience”

We stayed at the Farm Inn Sanzaemon for a single night as a break from the rush from the big cities. And what a break it was! The family who runs the inn showed almost endless hospitality, and they were so kind and wholesome. A lovely couple indeed! The Inn itself is a big traditional Japanese house with tatami mats and a wooden interior, which just looks amazing. The room we slept in had a view of the sun rising in the morning and a serene view over the fields of rice and vegetables growing in the countryside. We were so happy choosing to stay at this Farm Inn. It has been nothing short of an incredible experience, staying there and meeting this lovely family.

this is a wonderful house I ever been. the whole family are very kind and friendly, just make me feel I stay with my own family, just alittle bit language problem family though. we are definitely will come back again! thank you all! we are having a great time there.

“Unforgettable experience”

It was the best place to stay in Shiga, Takashima and was the highlight of our trip in Japan. We stayed for two nights. The kindness of Fujiwara-san has constantly surprised me. He is very welcoming, attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We even received a beautiful thank you note from the host! It was a nice touch. The place is very clean and the scenery is gorgeous. It was a memorable experience for us. Will definitely come again ❤️
