“Spacious clean hostel at takasaki”

Spacious, clean hostel located at takasaki, extremely near to supermarket which makes ur groceries run convenient too. Jeorge - the manage for the hostel is extremely helpful and friendly! We have based ourselves here for cycling trip around Gunma prefecture. The hostel is so nice that I came back to stay for another night before heading to Saitama for my trip! Thank you for the lovely stay!

Stayed here for three nights in a dorm bed. Overall a great budget option off the beaten path - although located a bit far from everything, there are (semi) regular buses running nearby, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service to Gumma-Soja station when checking in and out. Staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke English. The bed was comfortable, with an actual thick mattress instead of a thin bed roll often seen in other hostels. Bed area lacks space to put things - had to resort to shoving my laptop down the gap on the side but generally not a big deal. There was ample space in the room to store luggage, and the room didn't feel too cramped. Bathrooms were gender segregated and cleaned daily. There is a private dining area for guests, with a fully equipped kitchen and fridge/pantry area to store food. The bar/restaurant downstairs was cozy and hospitable. Food options were a bit limited but still delicious.

Not central, but the area is peaceful and good for exploring. Everything is clean, food is good and staff is great! Also it’s very close to the nearest supermarket

It’s completely chill. Staff are so nice and ready to help you out with anything. It’s got a relaxing atmosphere and some good food and drinks. Nice little café bar restaurant area.

Amazing staff, who speak English and japanese!! Super kind and fun and even picked us up at and brought us to the station Amazing shared kitchen and the restaurant was also very good and affordable!! Good bicycles to rent and the general atmosphere was super nice.

The person working was very nice and incredibly helpful. I was glad to have stayed there.

Furnishings are new, staff are helpful, rooms are spotless. Nice vibes, and there seems to be a pretty good bar but never had a chance to try the food and drink there.

Super cool staff (best regards to George and John) and the whole design was really well made. They even gave me a lift on top (super lucky) and also some free dessert by chance! Facilities like showers were great as well.

The staff are very enthusiastic, one staff which is a young white man, speak very fluent English, which makes me easy to check-in, the room is clean and cozy.

This Hostel is located in the countryside of Japan and is an ideal accommodation for everyone who wants to experience the quiet areas of Japan with little to no tourists. It was very clean, very comfortable and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful! 10/10 Hostel!

Facilities new

An amazing hostel with lovely staff and good value for money. Quite far from the train station but the complimentary transport they offer was very helpful.

“Super modern building (great facilities) but there was a group of horrible guests”

The whole building and amenities were super modern. Big kitchen with closet that would be great for longer visits, and a great common room with lots of tables and a sofa. The free drink cards per day are also a bonus, in addition to rental bikes being availabe for a fee. They also have a free transit option from the station to the building (though you should call the day ahead), which I think you can ask to drop you off somewhere in town, too. Staff were pleasant.

The overall experience was amazing. Yoshida-san was the sweetest host I have come across in all my travels and the staff was also extremely friendly. They helped me out with renting a car and the food was amazing.
