Our hosts were most charming and helpful. They met us on arrival even though we arrived earlier than expected. They provided us with all the information we needed for a successful stay and even booked a restaurant table for us. They included a complementary traditional dinner and breakfast during our 4 night stay and turned out to help with our luggage when we departed early on our final morning. The in-house onsen is a fantastic bonus and the views from the rooms are incredible. We had visited this area previously and were delighted to find this accommodation. The nearby public onsens are a treat not to be missed.

Tatsuya and Reiko were the most amazing host and such lovely people. We stayed for 7 nights and had a lovely Dinner of Akita style food and 3 breakfast . House was warm and was great that we could cook in every night after shopping at the best Supermarket ever Granmart just down in town. And your own Onsen amazing. Five minutes drive to Tazawako Ski Resort

Had our own kitchen as group we cooked perfect set up plus hosts did 1 free breakfast it was delicious and 1 evening hotpot for group with local Sake it was amazing, the hosts were so so lovely and helpful loved their place, the spa onsen was perfect plus being so close to 7 onsens up the road which also awesome. Bus service to area although we rented a van from Morioka for 7 of us. Highly recommend lovely people and great regional meals all yummy, place was perfect, they even gave us a gift bag of local apple juices for our trip to the train such as lovely gesture too, very gracious helpful hosts!

Mr Ando & wife are super nice host. The place are clean, comfortable & all the house facilities are well prepared. Food prepared by Mr Ando & wife are yummy. The couple are really nice people. Will definately recommend to friend to book this property if they travel to Akita.

The hosts are very kind and welcomed us warmly. The home cooked meal with local specialties was amazing. The house is lovely to stay, you will feel right at home with an amazing view and onsen bath to relax in. There are many amazing sights to see nearby.

“A wonderful country stay”

This is one of the best places we have stayed in our many trips to Japan. The house itself is extremely inviting and comfortable, with heating/cooling options and all facilities, a wonderful outlook, and it exhudes peace and serenity. The private onsen is superb, and all rooms are spacious. The meals were meticulously prepared and presented by our charming and friendly hosts. The area is a great place year round. We explored the lake area, towns to the south, and the wonderful mountain areas to the north. All appliances and facilities had clear and concise instructions in many languages, and Tatsuya was proactive and quick to respond at all times.

“For a warm and cosy stay especially during a rainy day”

We had such an amazing stay. The owners are the sweetest people who made us feel very welcome. The location is great, close to Lake Tazawa. During our stay the weather was grey and rainy, but the house felt really cosy and warm. Especially after the great meal the owners cooked and a lovely soak in the onsen. 10/10 recommend!

The unique private onsen is truely special and is such a great way to relax after a day walking. You will not regret staying here!

“Fantastic host.”

It's a beautiful house with fully equipped kitchen, blue tooth speaker, heater and a private onsen with mountain view. Free parking just outside the house. Super nice host who prepared special hot pot Kiritanpo Nabe which is super delicious with homemade grilled rice. Love the special dip for the crackers too. Were provided BBQ grill, charcoal for our BBQ. They also helped us buy Waygu beef from their regular supplier. We went to Wonder Mall at Kakunodate to buy BBQ stuff. Beef is cheap with great marbling. Host were very prompt in responding to all our queries. Highly recommended to stay here if you are in Akita.

“Relaxing, beautiful, friendly stay!”

Everything about this place is wonderful - the hosts are such kind people, the house itself is really beautiful and interesting, with breathtaking views. An extra special touch was when the hosts made us a local hot pot banquet on the last night! The area is very beautiful with lots of walks and things to see. The private onsen in the house with views of the lake was wonderful after a day of exploring.

“Beautiful cabin with peaceful private onsen and INCREDIBLE hosts.”

We had such an incredible stay at the cabin and the highlight other than the wonderful private Ibsen was easily the Hosts. They were so warm and welcoming and even brought us homemade hotpot and cookies! The cabin is huge with beautiful peaceful scenery overlooking the lake. we would absolutely love to return someday.
