The host Gemma was wonderful and very helpful during my stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The check/in, help with the car hire from the owner and then help to extend the time with Gemma. Thank you and I'll be back.

Coté Sud is situated in the garden of Eden : the two main buildings are nested in an incredible variety of lush tropical vegetation, huge palm trees, bread fruit trees, flowers, shrubs... From the veranda adjacent to the room, you can sit and contemplate nature, whilst relaxing to the soothing sound of birds singing and of water flowing by the house side. The bed is very comfortable and features a large mosquito net reminiscent of days gone by. The bathroom provides all the necessary amenities. The shower could be a bit larger, but this is a minor detail. The small outside kitchen, equipped with a fridge, a gas stove and a microwave, is very convenient to prepare breakfast or a light evening meal. The owners turned out to be extremely welcoming and helpful, ready to provide all the practical information we needed and to supply anything we asked for and which was missing in the room. We arrived as customers and left as friends !

“Welcome to the jungle”

First of all, the property is really great. It is the proper African-style villa, with the solid wooden furniture, huge terrace and no-glass windows with the fancy wooden shutters. Actually, the property is located in the village, on a mountain slope, but the skillful garden design makes you feel yourself inside the jungle. The garden is marvelous and well maintained. One can find almost all the species of the Seyshelles flora. So, no need to barrage around the islands in the search for endemics, just look around your breakfast table. The villa is inhabited by the cats and fruit bats, which are friendly and cooperative. But do not leave your meals unattended! Seasonal local fruits can be bought just 100 meters uphill, the rest of the supplies - in the center of the village which is 10 minutes walk or 1 minute drive from the villa. Local beach Takamaka proved itself to be the best on Mahe island. House lady Gemma provides every day cleaning, which is very pleasant. Also she can make a delicious dinner for you. Small, but nice swimming pool and the barbecue place will help you to enjoy your time.
