“The greatest accommodation in Japan”
The most perfect, authentic Japanese Ryokan i have ever stayed at. The service is wonderful, the space is huge and perfectly maintained and the amenities are of the highest quality. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.

“Little Piece of Heaven”
This private ryokan is like a little piece of heaven. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are amazingly sweet and helpful. A week ago I had been in Kinosaki Onsen and was sad I hadn't booked a private Onsen, but the bathroom at this ryokan made up for that. The bath was relaxing and refreshing, exactly what I needed. The ryokan owner was kind enough to pull some strings and hire me and my wife a personal sushi chef when he usually only does groups of 4 or more. The sushi was amazing and the chef was a great guy! I came to Bitchu-Takahashi because I love the local sake, Taiten Shiragiku. It was a dream come true to be able to take a tour of the distillery and meet the president of the company. I hope I can come and stay again in the future.

“Wonderful experience”
The Atmosphere was stunning. And the bathroom was so relaxing and wonderful. Good that it had high Fence so your privacy was protected.

“Amazing Small Town House”
Very spacious accommodation nicely revamped from an old house (or sake factory?). The onsen is as good as those found in high class ryokan.

We had a lovely 3 nights stay at Tenrai. The sweetest staff, Keiko Yoshida, completed our stay with her friendliness and kind nature, and our four kids were so happy with her. Thank you :)

“THE place to stay if you like the history and culture of Japan”
It is a very beautiful and relaxing place. Everything about the indoor decorations and garden makes you feel at peace. The bath is something you have to try! It felt great! The house is also in a good location. Everything necessary is within walking distance. If you want to visit Bitchu Matsuyama Castle, you can walk up to it. On the way down, you can visit the Samurai House and the Raikyū-ji garden. Then, go back to the house to take a rest before you continue the tour to the Takahashi City Museum of Local History. The host is also one of the nicest people I have met. It is easy to ask if you need something or have a question. Very friendly. Had a great stay 👍
