Lovely hotel, didnt feel full of people despite it clearly being busy based on the availability of loungers in the day. Food was ok, could be better. Hospitality could be better. Eg, took 3 phone calls, 1 visit to reception to ask for duvets for my children. 5 calls for a fridge replenishment. Entertainment team are great. You dont need to leave the hotel at all. It would have been nice to have another option for food even if you haf to pay for it. Drinks were branded although not all brands available. Staff are hit and miss. Some very friendly others rude, no inbetween. More seem like they dont want to be there sadly. Feel it should be more 4* not 5*. The initial impression is very much that of a 5* hotel and so is the bar area. That was our favourite area. The grounds are very well looked after every single day.

Large hotel with great facilities - especially the spa! Lovely pools and great private beach area. Also right by a long boardwalk for exploring the area worth a couple of trips to Tagazout and Tamraght! The staff were all fantastic - friendly, fun and super accommodating.

“Very disappointed, cockroaches”
There were cockroaches...and ants.... in the first room i was given, i was finally moved around 8.30pm, i had already unpacked so it just wasted my evening, by the time I got to dinner most things had run out. When I got back to my room I found they hadn't put any water in my room and no milk so I couldn't make a drink. Next morning I called reception at 7.30 but was told cleaning staff didn't start until 9 so I just went to breakfast early. There were also ants in the new room, all over the bathroom sink....my vitamin bag and all over the kettle area. They said they would thoroughly clean it, which they did, but the ants kept coming back . They offered to change my room again but I was only there for 3 nights and I had already wasted a day and half sorting issues out. I sent emails and endless messages on the app asking for some sort of refund, but no response. Other guests had the same problem with cockroaches. Ive stayed at many hotels and apartments in Morocco and never experienced this anywhere else. I am totally disappointed in Riu and will still fight for a refund

“Fabulous holiday in a beautiful hotel”
The location was lovely, with a great promenade to walk to Taghazout and access to the beautiful beach. The gardens were stunning and the layout of the hotel was spacious and beautifully finished. The outdoor seating areas for all meals and drinks was a real pleasure and the staff were, in the main, friendly and attentive.
