Overview
Located opposite Central Railway Station, Wake Up Sydney Central boasts a lively onsite bar/nightclub and a huge range of free activities. It is set in the heart of Sydney’s backpacking hub, surrounded by nightlife precincts and travel shops. Wake Up Sydney Backpackers is in Sydney CBD (Central Business District), a 5-minute walk from Chinatown and a 15-minute walk from Darling Harbour. It is 20 minutes' by public transport from Circular Quay, where you can walk to the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Sydney International Airport is a 30-minute drive away. Private rooms and mixed or all-female dormitories are available. All rooms feature secure lockers and a bedside lamp and power point. All rooms have modern furnishings and large windows that allow plenty of natural light in. Private rooms feature a TV. Guests enjoy the convenience of 24-hour reception and a tour desk. Some of the fun free activities include city walks, trivia and pizza nights. Onsite Side Bar offers a great party atmosphere, with live DJs and bands. You can enjoy a meal at the onsite Roy's Cafe & Bistro or use the shared kitchen. If booking a breakfast included rate, the breakfast consists of one breakfast toastie and one small hot beverage at Roy's Cafe. Also on offer are laundry facilities on each floor.

- Location - Service from front desk staff; acted very quickly with loud guests on the floor at 2am. - Good Value for money. I am older but for a younger person travelling looking to meet people, this hostel would be fantastic.

Great location and value for money, good privacy in the room, and bathrooms also good. Reception gets loud with Side Bar underneath but couldn’t hear it a few floors up.

“Really depends on the room / floor level you get 🤔 Hit and Miss”
Always meet awesome people from all round the world whenever I stay here, i think that is why most people stay here - location of hostel in the city is great, it's right next to Central - staff are usually nice and cafe downstairs is lovely too, you can get a decent coffee and some breakfast. Customer service is of a good level for staff too on the whole, but the actual logistics of your stay / room pass issues / cleaning / noise bleed in the hostel could be dealt with better. The team kindly stored some luggage for me temporarily once or twice while I was staying - that was nice of them to do. They do a free events and mixers every day for people to meet often with wine and cheese and other cool things, I enjoyed going to one of them to check it out, good place to meet new people.

“I really like the property but this time their services disappointed everyone. Many backpackers and who were checking in”
The time I checked in found there were no water in the building to take a shower and do shit. Nobody updated me as I travelled from 200 km and quite disappointing as I would like to take a shower and sleep but quite disappointing.
