“Paradise on Earth”

This place was amazing. I almost cried when I left last night. Okuni and its surroundings comes very close to what I want my life to look like and to what I imagine paradise feels like. Amazing weather, spacious accomodation, beach right across the road, plenty of super nice and cute cats, outstanding wifi speed. This is my favourite place in Japan so far. I hope to be back soon enough.

Karaoke, a lot of musical I instruments, great selection of food and meals, peaceful environment and paddle boards with scenic views . Host and locals/staff were very attentive and welcoming plus (Cute cats ).

“Dreamy getaway in rural Yamaguchi”

I loved my stay at Imagine West Ocean more than I could put into words in this description! The location was fantastic, as you are literally only 10 meters away from the beach - get ready for beautiful sunsets every night. Everyone at the guesthouse, from the host to some of the longer-term residents and helpers, was an absolute delight to interact, eat, and drink with! We also enjoyed a few Karaoke nights together. Additionally, we went on spontaneous day trips to different locations, which made every day feel like an adventure. The host even made delicious bento boxes for one of our trips. There's a lot of nice small villages around to explore. Hiking to observation decks in the surrounding hills and forests is also a great way to spend your days. In the close-by town of Kaminoseki you can enjoy the relaxing Hatokonoyu Onsen as well. Getting there was quite easy as well, as there's a bus stop very close to the guesthouse. Google Maps doesn't seem to have it (or the entire bus line, actually) in its database, but it's there, don't worry. The bus runs from Yanai Station all the way to the guesthouse, so it's a very easy ride. Honestly, don't hesitate. Just come to the Imagine Guesthouse, explore the area on foot or bike, and just enjoy life there.

“Relaxing and authentic place with beautiful scenery.”

Really enjoyed my stay here. The place was super clean, the beds were comfortable, and everything you needed was there. The area around is great for exploring. I rented a bike on one of the days from the host and had a really good day riding around. Another day I went to a neighboring village and explored the shrines and the coastline. The host was very friendly and offers dinner each night, which was actually really good. I got to meet some local Japanese people who were very welcoming and we ended up doing karaoke together - fun night. Would definitely recommend this place, especially if you're looking for something a bit more relaxed and authentic.

It’s super friendly hosting! They are making you cozy as much as it possible! I love that atmosphere! We wish we could stay longer, but it was already overbooked 😌 and totally recommend to stay for BBQ! It’s was delicious 🤤 it’s lovely place !

My parner and I had a fantastic time at Imagine ! We had a lot of fun doing karaoke and the master chef cooked delicious dishes that we enjoyed right across the ocean with the amazing view on the sunset. Don't miss out on a great time, great company and make sure to check out Daiduk Kayak when you're there !

“Beautiful location, delicious food, warm welcome”

The host is an amazing cook, I ate both the recommended dinner course and some individual dishes while I was there, and everything was delicious. He also makes an effort to make you feel at home even if you speak little to no japanese. The guesthouse is in a beautiful location, right beside the sea. It's not near any stations, but its well worth the bus ride and/or walk to get there.

The host "Master" was super friendly. His coffee ☕️ fantastic! And meals sublime..I really enjoyed Imagine West Coast's restaurant area.

I loved the location of the guesthouse. Even if it is not that easy to reach, if you are searching for a quiet place near the ocean, you should go there! The owner cookes delicious food and here is a stage with karaoke mashine, where we had a lot of fun!

“Scenic vista”

The food was amazing, we got to eat fresh local produce including wild boar, fish and sea weed, probably the most enjoyable meal we had in Japan from an unexpected location. Not flashy but clean and comfortable accomodation.

Beautiful views from the property. Master is a very good and kind host. Be sure to eat in his restaurant where he cooks delicious local food. Quiet and peaceful location, good location to take a break from the big cities in japan. A bus stop is very nearby so you can get around easily. I would recommend going to the nearby onsen, and definitely go to Iwai Island!

Lovely place in beautiful landscape, with big rooms and a well equipped kitchen. Also the owner is a nice and funny guy who really makes an effort to make his hostel something special. I highly recommend it :)

The view of the place and the owner are amazing. Practically the whole place was DIY made by the owner.
