Everything was ok, i expected pretty much the same. The location was perfect, near the lake( was a bit frozen) away from everything. We went skiing like 25 min away from the house, Säfsen. The house was nice and warm, and also big, we were 4 families with kids. We had Christmas together there, i think we will be back in summer, since the lake is near the house and you have acces directly and a lot of privacy. If you are a big group, this house is perfect. ( Keep in mind, this is a historic, old house, old fashion way, which i personally liked, but some of my group they didnt like that almost everything was so old like floors, doors,beds and stuff

“An absolutely delightful introduction to Swedish lakeside living!”

I had trouble finding a place which was big enough to accommodate our large party of three families with 20 people, a baby and a toddler. Roy was very accommodating and even though the villa is listed as sleeping 18, it also has two extra beds, a crib and a cot and two child seats. The upstairs kitchen/dining room was very well equipped, super clean and allowed us all to eat together with a magnificent view over the lake. We even saw the Northern Lights!!!!! The villa was very good value for money for our large party and we would definitely come back here again. The beds were comfortable and the house is very large. It suited us perfectly as it is split into three flats and we were able to separate when we wanted to have private time as separate families and come together as a large party to eat. There is a bathing place with as sandy beach and mowed grassthrough a sweet little path in the forest which is only a few minutes walk (turn left at the treehouse through a short path through the forest.) This was perfect for the children to swim and play as there is a sandy beach, a mowed lawn and the water is very shallow for quite a long way out. There is also the possibility to swim directly from the deck at the end of the garden, where the rowing boat and kayaks are.

This is my third stay in this place. I came skiing at Romme Alpin in February with a group of friends and we enjoyed the cosy fire and amazing views over the lake. I came with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday in May - the weather was incredible and it was 25 degrees in the lake!!! Myself and some friends were looking for a kayaking holiday this summer but everything we found was too expensive. The owners here now provide 9 kayaks and a row boat for guests free of charge, so this was perfect, and very much cheaper than a kayaking centre. We went swimming and enjoyed kayaking around the three interlinking lakes. We watched the sunrise and sunset from the balcony and we even got to see the northern lights which was such a treat. The villa is very clean and well equipped with lots of cooking equipment, a barbecue and some garden games but for us the highlight was definitely the kayaking in summer! I would also recommend this place as a base for skiing as is a short drive to Säfsen ski resort and Romme Alpin is about a 40 minute drive.

We appreciated the large beautiful house with generous living areas where we could socialize with each other despite some rainy days. The lake and the pleasant swimming area nearby were appreciated by the children. We also enjoyed the peace and quiet. We will be happy to come back here!
