Surrounded by nature, on Norra Stadsberget Hill, this hostel provides free WiFi and parking as well as a fully equipped communal kitchen. Sundsvall’s main street, Storgatan, is within 20 minutes’ walk. Guest rooms at Gaffelbyn – Sundsvalls Vandrarhem have either private bathrooms or shared facilities. Guests can take relaxing walks in the scenic area around Sundsvalls Vandrarhem. Lake Sidsjön, a 15-minute drive away, provides excellent opportunities for fishing. The room was infested with bedbugs, with over 60 bites. I later contacted the hotel by phone, and the staff acknowledged the presence of bedbugs but said they weren't dangerous and were common in many hotels. They denied any responsibility and instead suggested the guest file a claim with their home insurance.

The accommodation was very nice, especially for the price! The shared kitchen was very big, and they also had laundry machines that we could use. The shared bathrooms where clean and the location was nice.

Beautiful, quiet place. Nice walk to the centre. We needed accomodation just for one night - it was perfect for such purpose.

Location, location, location. Their biggest asset is that you walk straight out to historic Sweden. Surrounded by beautiful nature and gorgeous views.
