“Recommend”

I can totally recommend to stay there. It's a very lovely family, Carmen is amazing. She also might show you the city or you could ask to learn spanish together. The location is a bit outside, 15-20min walking, but therefore it's more quiet and also green when you wake up and go to ur balcony. kitchen facilities are there to cook basic things.

“Beautiful, relaxing, kind and fun!”

The property was beautiful and very clean. There was a relaxing view over the river and mountains, and as it rained we could see the water increase its flow. The bedroom was comfortable with a good window view. The family was very kind and welcoming. The home cooked food (upon request) was traditional and authentic and tasted delicious! We could watch the traditional food being prepared by hand, truly impressive. Carmen speaks multiple languages, including Spanish, English and German, as well as South American indigenous languages. She makes an excellent guide and we can highly recommend touring the city with Carmen. She is very kind and generous with her time, and a lot of fun to be around!

So far the best place I've stayed in during my travels in South America. Doesn't have a party-hostel vibe, nor is the fanciest, nor is in the city centre, but is simple, cheap and kitchen&shower equipped just right for everyone who doesn't seek for a luxury but calm home-like place. Liked everything about it and Carmen with her dad will take care of you ❤️

“Good value for money and an amazing host”

Great value for money. The owner is extremely helpful and kind, responding very fast to messages and happy to help with anything you need. Bring USD dollars to pay, if possible. There is kitchen available too. The location is quiet and safe, but quite far from the old town, you need to be prepared to walk 25-30 minutes to the main square of Sucre. The rooms are a bit cold, but you may ask for an extra blanket. The bathroom is a bit uncomfortable and very basic, but does the job. Overall, I recommend this place if you are ready to accept a bit of inconvenience and distance to walk to town (you can also take a taxi), because it’s fair standard for the price you pay, and the atmosphere is really pleasant.

“Good budget-friendly option just outside the center of Sucre”

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our host made us feel comfortable and at ease. They also have a nice kitchen and terrace in the sun. And they have the cutest cat. She might go sit on your lap if you are kind to her.
